Well I guess I have a level 17 punter on the market now (well tomorrow anyway). Was fun while I was here guys. I will still be in Oceania AAA next season if anyone cares (I am sure most don't).

As tubby would say...its not making moves that make football sense to let all your players leave at the seasons end. They should have kept their current 3 year contracts and played for the new coach.

So, let me get this straight. Somebody (in this case, Tubby) decides that they no longer want to play this game, don't want to put the time or money into it anymore, so instead of just going inactive and leaving his entire team out to dry, he does his best to give everybody a chance to go where they want to, and he's a hypocrite? So, it's actually better to gut your team in the middle of the season, rather than wait until the end of the season and give EVERYBODY a chance to go somewhere else (rather than just trading your own players to a different team)?
Just a little bit of inside information for you guys, Tubby informed every Utopian of his plans well in advance, we all knew it was coming, even if you guys didn't. He didn't pull some 11th hour, sneak-out-the-backdoor bullshit. He was upfront and honest about what his plans were and why. Everything the Utopians accomplished, from starting out as a fledgling AAA team, to being a playoff team in the Pros, is because of the dedication and hard work by Tubby and all the other Utopians. Not only did he not fail, he accomplished more than anybody in the Pros ever imagined he would.
For whatever reason, the Legends are no more. Tubby is gone, and the Utopia players will move on to wherever they wish. But let this stand as an example to all other teams: it's better to be respected for doing something honest, than to betray the trust of others for the sake of winning.

There's also a remarkable difference between gutting a team in the off-season vs. in the middle of the season where you're vying for position.

To be fair to Tubby he asked every single player we had to buy the team. Nobody wanted (or had the time/could afford) to. But several players did want to leave and go elsewhere since Tubby was no longer owner so he gave most of us deals that end on season's end (tonight). I am not sure if not everyone was offered one or if they just didn't accept them; you would have to ask him or them that.
