this is a good league. and will be with a few teams leaving. means we at the mob have to play well to get out of it. will be interesting.

I wish we could play you again. I thought we had nothing to play for since the Features surely weren't going to lose their game! WOOOPS!

You might have still won, but if we would have had a more normal gameplan and were needing a win to keep our spot, then we would have played you much differently.

Beans lose to Features, Features lose to Cats.. (i know it ain't that simple), but that might suggest that Cats would beat Beans aswell..

I said we were going to try to win. That is correct. I made a "we're going to whip the Alley Cat" thread also.

I'm just asking you to look at the running plays at the very least though and you will see that we were experimenting.

Don't get me wrong, we still wanted to win. We didn't start our back-ups or anything. We just didn't didn't call the best plays on offense and played our RB's out of position and set the running to 100% for the FB. In addition we subbed more than usual to make sure all the starters would be 100% for game 1 of the playoffs.



I'm saying that we would have played much differently if it were in the middle of the year or in the playoffs.

I never made any excuses for losing to the Features. They beat us twice.


And if you want to go, "we beat this team reasoning".....


Beans beat the Trolls......Trolls beat EVERYONE they played.....and would have beat the Alley Cat or Features.

There. 2 can play that game.

But you only ran the ball 14 times...and frankly, it wouldn't have mattered what RB you had in there, you wouldn't have ran all over us.

The tweak that you could have made against us to give your team a better shot, was to throw less deep routes into coverage. I know that you weren't just trying that out against us, because you guys walked face first into the glass door right away again when you played the Features. You obviously didn't learn anything from your "Experiment" game against us.

No, unfortunately a CB playing on relaxed because of the last game and I fat fingered some of our tactics and never checked them. Beans are a good team tho...

I didn't say we would have run all over you, but we did get stuffed inside the 3 yard line on 2 occasions (2nd and goal from the 3 both times I believe) and only came away with FG's both times. That is an 8 point swing there alone.

I'm not sure how you can say that varying our attack in the passing game instead of 100% medium routes (our least successful on the season) wouldn't have made a difference though. That would be hard to pick up if you didn't watch it closely.

I also realized after our playoff loss that one of our CB's was giving a cushion which I didn't realize (like what happened to the Trolls I guess). That is my fault for not noticing though and having my team all on the same page. I think that resulted in 6-8 of the Cat's 19 completions against us though. That wasn't an experiment though. That was a mistake on my part.

And for why we threw alot against the Features? No one had run on them all season, so we had to try something different. Our offense just put up a big goose egg though and it might have been a very different game if Lex's confidence hadn't been shattered by the 2 early INT's. In this game early morale issues are huge for players without high confidence. Not to mention that the team chemistry was kind of low for us because of a couple of late season pick-ups that we didn't need from a new GM of mine and a few moves I made earlier in the year.

With 100% chemistry, a regular gameplan, and no heavy substitution (we even played a level 9 OG for 20+ plays), I don't see why we wouldn't be at least equal to the Cats though.

Bort sort of screwed up our exhibition game against the Rally (WR at QB error all game long). I am going to ask him to sim another game for us instead. Someone told me he would do that.


I'd love to see if the Trolls or Cat would be interested?
