Nibor, thanks for your rankings and formulas and RPI stuff, etc etc. Not sure if you've read any of my comments in the APL thread in the ranking forum, but people's thoughts, as a whole, haven't changed a bit about APL. The majority still think the APL is very weak, many think it's the weakest region, regardless of what the current numbers say. Even in the rankings forum, where most people involved are semi-up-to-date, the APL bias (weak league thinking) still runs strong.

As far as this HOF group, if you need a thread, in the APL forum at that, of ra-ra bullshit, just to get more players included in your voting, all I can say is take your HOF and shove it. There are many great players, owners, and teams in the APL. We aren't USAPL or CPL tough by any means, but we've come a long way from where we were, and we definitely aren't the scrubs of the regions anymore. If you don't have enough awareness in GLB to know this, nothing you do with this HOF crap is valid imo.

If he's part of this supposed committee, and supposedly a rep from Africa, and the best he can do is get us 10 votes, to 25 from the other regions, then yeah, fuck him, and the rest of the committee. And I don't think I run the APL, as I've said numerous times. But I'll damn sure give my opinion if/when I want, regardless of your lunacy.

And he also said in another thread that 10 was the most we would get, how about you learn to read? So now we can get more votes, POSSIBLY, if we just beg and ra-ra for them? Fuck that childish bullshit. They should be smart enough to know that we have an equal number of great players in Africa as every other region out there. If not, screw them and their self-important wannabe idiotic asses, including our Africa rep, who sits back and says yeah, ok, 10 candidates is fine. I said no to the possibility of 11 candidates because that would create an uneven number. The whole thing was originally supposed to be even but then they switched to the new format and I fought it but they wouldn't change it. But after seeing what was stated in the other thread, i brought it up again and this time I had some support. This thread was created as a way to gain more support for this.

Short answer. Every region should have the same number of considerations.

I am not up to speed on what the Hall of Fame is, but I am assuming it is something started by owners/players and isn't an integrated part of GLB. Maybe I'm wrong, but given the total disregard for the social networking potential of this game to date, I am guessing I am right.

Anyhoo, if it is something that folks are putting hard work and time into, I suppose they have the best insight into how much time it takes to do this, and are forced to limit considerations or else the process might never finish. Hats off to the effort and I wish it much success as I think this game needs it.

But without equal representation across regions, there will always be the opportunity for people to question the process. That's just the nature of the beast I suppose.

No way we should have 10 when other leagues have 25.

I say we refuse to participate/nominate players until they give us a more respectable number.
