I think the key is the rushing quarterback. It's something that has to be defended against because as soon as we don't defend against it it will burn us. The problem is it commits the safeties and all of a sudden they can't be used for help over the top. Also, having long term slow built players is great, but that's only part of the formula to success. You guys did a great job with your offensive and defensive game planning throughout the season. No matter how good the players are, you'll only get so far without good game planning.
Thanks or the props. I agree, the rushing QB does make a difference, although we didnt pass enough to really take advantage of it. I guess the real difference is that some of those 30-40 yard runs would have been only 10 yard runs with the safeties deep. He was the silent MVP as he only ran 3 times all game.
