i kinda like it. but ticket sales will have to be about 5% of what they are for legit playoff teams.

Why even play the regular season if your going to "reward" the bottom 8?

I would support it if the losers of the loser bracket played for relegation, but the scrims already have a small hand in that

Can we just put "Letting teams ranked lower than #8 into the playoffs" on the Never Going To Happen list, already?

I GM two teams that will be bottom 8, and there is no reason at all they should make the playoffs.

I do like the idea of a consolation bracket (which would supply a very small amount of cash to the teams that play in it). But they should not be in the playoffs (not to mention we couldn't beat the top 4 teams in the regular season, we sure can't beat them now).

The reason I like the consolation tourney is that we were in USA A and there were a few lvl 53 median teams, and we stood no chance to come within 100 points of them.

Stupid idea. That's like that tourney mode on Madden 09.

this isn't the little leagues where a losers playoff is made to make people feel better about having a shit season.

I would like a consolation bracket, but there should be no money gained. It should pretty much be more organized scrimmage games

Reasons not to do this

1) 50 day season reduces annual revenue for GLB thus likely increasing cost of flex to compensate

2) Already more than enough teams in playoffs...

3) Any system like this actually financially favors the 7-8 seeds over the 5&6 seeds as they get a home playoff game

Exactly. Did the Lions get to have a post season last year? No, they were fucking S.O.L. GLB is nice enough to give you scrimmage games to fill your spare time, be thankful.

A toilet bowl would be one thing that would at least keep some peoples attention longer, but a chance to make the playoffs is just stupid. They had their chance and didn't make it, they shouldn't have another chance.
