MITH might be an ass most of the time, but he's right that the Smexies are fools if they think they actually won anything here.
The system has sucked for a while now and some teams found a way to take advantage of that.

I've tried my hardest to keep the trashing of the Smexies to a minimum since there's nothing to be gained by it.
But when they start a bragging thread about finally winning (when it was only made possible by their inability to compete against equal competition) I think they've lost what little respect I've been holding onto for them.

Personally, I'd much rather see them take their meaningless trophy with class and just go away to where they belong.

But yeah, congratulations Smexies. You're the champs!




Mith is not right. Even if they threw the game to stay and out lvl everyone, that only works in capped leagues. This is a no cap league, the competition is what you make it by recruiting. Anyone here could have recruited higher lvl players. I fail to see how winning the championship in a no cap league has no meaning, because they have high lvl players. Should we make this a lvl 32 cap league, so ever is closer at lvls?

I do agree with Mith on this one. The Smexies clearly were higher level all around and didn't belong here. I can see them try to argue that they lost last post season fair and square, but we all know that is not true.
If we "(Funky Bunch) were to win it all next year, I am sure nobody would accuse us of throwing our playoff game to stick around 1 more season. Why??? Because we are equal or lower levels than our opponents and lost this year to a team that game planned better than we did.

Look at the LS's roster and tell me if they went out and "recruited" those players. They did not. I am not knocking the Smexies in this post. I am just saying that they should have won this league. If they didn't, then they are plainly run by Jerry's kids.

I say Congrats to the Smexies. And good luck next season.

I also say, just because some of the people on this board can't stand Mith or Sweet Tits, dosen't mean they can't agree with the points they bring up.

I can assure you we didn't throw our game last season and we were quite disappointed with ourselves for the loss.

When I scouted the smexies I saw a LOT of holes in your AI. A team with comparable levels will always exploit those holes and win, so I'd recommend closing your builds and getting a new dc at least, if not DC/OC.

the reason is they are so bad they have been in this league for 4 years? Sad they are so crappy they couldn't muster up a winning season till some players were lvl 50.

Actually I kept up with the smexies after last season, they had a lot of recruiting to do over the offseason. Oh and did you bother to check out the teams that were here last season? Or the score of the regular season game against the people people are claiming the smexies threw to in the playoffs?

I rarely agree with Mith, not because I can't stand the guy, but because him and darius RARELY post facts (or pure fact).

Where is all the game throwing talk coming from? Never happened on our part that's for sure...
