I don't think that JFrost would have done this if other, bigger-name pro teams hadn't pioneered this as being a morally acceptable way to win. Not that I blame them (given any roster, I'd do whatever it took to win), but with JFrost looking as hard as possible to cite other examples of teams abusing a play that embodies something (unstoppably consistent blocking, and HBs falling forward) that everyone KNOWS will be reduced greatly next season, I think the thought process was "well, as long as we can still run it before it's fixed, why not?"
Yes, Strong I HB Slams are the best way to get trophies in season 8. In retrospect, those trophies are going to be looked at just about as seriously as Season 3 Scotch Cocks trophies are, or nfratami Rebel Alliance trophies, lol. The whole thing is tainted; maybe there's a chance that a team will win a pro league trophy and be able to go back and cite that they actually conquered teams who abused the SI-Slam while not using the play as the focal point of their own gameplan. I'm guessing that's what 5STAR felt, because he had to have known about the play. Even Boltz knows about the play. And believe me, we have the roster to make that play absolutely infuriating for opponents all the same that Mata-Utu can
But I realize that anything that isn't immediately fixed by an admin is completely fair game for gameplanning. It just isn't practical for the Pro league owners to get together and agree to not run the play 90 times a game for the sake of exciting football. Mata-Utu can have fun with their loltrophy - Bort made it a loltrophy, not them.

I already said how I feel about it and make no excuses. I've seen teams break these gentleman's agreements after swearing not to use it. If winning means running the Strong I Slam I am going to do it and I am going to do it because I operate under the assumption that every other team will. Anyone that chooses not to use it in some way or form in their game planning is either a fool or has some misguided sense of what is "right". This is the game as it is presented to us and you operate under guidelines of the sim. If there is a play that is hard to stop then I fully recommend that any team in this game use it.

I agree 100% with JDR here. Season 8 trophies will looked upon in future seasons as a joke.

As in: "Haha, all you have is a worthless season 8 trophy, I'd rather have a season 1 trophy tbh."

And to the people calling us out for SISlamming: Listen, I fucking hate this gameplan more than anybody on Earth. I fought against it for all of Season 8. You think I didn't know what Halifax was going to do when we lost to them? Or Lincoln? How about when Spicewood took us to 9-6 or LOL came within a couple yards and a bad AI setting of beating us? We've been getting SISlammed all fucking year, and I've tried just about every gameplan I know to not do it.

But we've got to assume that we're going to continue getting SISlammed every fucking game, and I have a responsibility to the agents on my team, to the DC who is dealing 59 fucking SI Slams per game from Halifax, and to the owner who brought me on to put our team in the best position to win. After the Lincoln debacle, it was pretty apparent that doing the same thing was the only way I could fulfill my responsibility. I might hate it, but I sure as fuck ain't apologizing for it to a bunch of guys we didn't even play.

Helluva good game WSI. Timely fumbles for us - can't believe you guys got a 29-yard completion on 3rd and 10 at the end. That was the game there. No malice from me for doing what works. We all play the same game with the same rules. So close though.

We each pay to play the way we want I guess. Nothing wrong with running an unstoppable play over and over if winning is the main reason you play.

I am partially to blame. I have been asking stein to run the stupid play after the loss to Lincoln. I am use to my winning ways, and when we lose...We all look at what happened, how can we fix it, and sadly the way to fix it, is to do it yourself.

I understand the feeling 5star and company, and wish you guys the best of luck next season. I was rooting for you, and I do think you have a very solid team and will be top of the food chain next season.

To orlando Amazing job on those fumbles! Gave me quite the scare. Good game.
