As for your solution well, I guess I don't have a leg to stand on in an argument about all teams getting wins against the gutted.
We SURELY benefited from the way the current system for guttings works. but I will say this:
A loss is a loss. Had you beat CIC we would not be talking about this would we?

Say we win out and Samoa loses 1. That will be ANOTHER team screwed because Samoa lost to CIC early in the season.
