The tie takes the head to head out of play. The Vanguards simply need to finish with more wins than the Fury or Lizard Lickers to have a higher seed.

The playoff race is heating up. Right now the Bullitt and the Wolves are battling for that last spot, but only the Energy and Vulcans have been mathematically eliminated (though the string of events needed for the Thunderhawks to make the playoffs borders on the ridiculous).
Today's Daggers/Demon Sweat game will be huge for those teams, as the loser's hopes of a playoff spot will seriously dwindle. If the 3-9 Wolfpack can pull off the upset over Lizard Lick today (which they better not -- I am the Lizard Lick owner, after all), with a little luck, they could become a fascinating dark horse pick, as their last 3 opponents are a combined 9-27 and they own the head-to-head over 2 of the 3 4-8 teams (that OT loss to the Daggers could be big).
Other conference games with major playoff implications today: Fury/Gamers, Wolves/Red Celtics.

Today's matchups are pretty boring, outside the two you noted. I'm eyeing that Wolfpack-Lizard Lickers game though. There are some playoff implications there. The Vanguards-Vulcans game is another where the underdog can throw a wrench into the works if they can pull it off.
Well, we tried to get creative against the Gamers and it blew up in our faces.
Very tough D. I can see how they held the RR and LL in check.

you played very well, you are far better than your record indicates.

Well we certainly did our best to cause their offense some energy problems. That's about all we could do.

Well, the playoff picture is much clearer. Revised predictions:
1 River Rats (16-0)
2 Slashers (13-3)
3 Lizard Lickers (13-3)
4 Vanguards (12-3-1)
5 Gamers (12-3-1)
6 Fury (11-5)
7 Bullitt (9-7)
8 Wolves (8-8)
It will definitely be fun!
Oh, and in the race for relegation:
16 Thunderhawks (2-14)
15 Energy (2-14)
14 Vulcan (3-13)
13 Wolfpack (3-13)
12 Demon Sweat (4-12)
11 Fanboys (4-12)
10 Daggers (7-9)
9 Red Celtics (7-9)

Daggers, Red Celtics and Demon Sweat are safe from relegation with Daggers and Red Celtics still in the playoff hunt.
My predicted seeding isn't far from the current standings:
Memphis
Washington (Slashers)
Lizard Lick
Viridian
Driftless
Tennessee
Dearborn
Philadelphia
I've got Vulcans and Thunderhawks dropping down to BBB and the River Rats beating the Lizard Lickers for the conference title in a close one.

That 4-5 matchup should be classic (its fitting that the teams that tied will face off in round 1). From there, the matchup against Memphis should be good.
If the other bracket, the Fury/Lizard Lickers could be a good one, with the Slashers waiting in the wings.
Memphis is the clear front-runner, but a rematch against the Gamers could be fatal to their championship hopes.

Well, we started the regular season with the Fury, so I guess it would only be fitting to start the postseason the same way. There are a lot of games between now and then, though, so I wouldn't put too much stock into that potential seeding yet.

Oh, yeah, upsets can happen. Those interdivision games will be huge.
I will be somewhat surprised if there are major changes to the top 8, however (the Red Celtics have a BRUTAL end of the season).

well, the Viridian Vanguards plan on finishing 13-2-1 so that would be a major change to the top 8. blast that non conference game, its the one that could foil our plans.

That would be the difference maker.
An upper bracket of River Rays, Lizard Lickers, Gamers, and Wolves would be brutal!
