Through Week Six, Asomugha had only one ball thrown his way in each of those games, except against Kansas City, who threw two balls at him.

They will throw to whoever they think is most open or has the best chance of catching the ball. Shutdown is a master at fooling the QB's into thinking their receiver is open, and once they make the errant throw, he takes it to the house. Hence why he leads the league in INT's

A good CB will never allow the receiver to get open = less ints.
