Last question, do you think that you can make payroll on concessions alone? 800k wont cut it.

Thanks Swiftus for the compliment! We try to be the class of the league and set a good example, eventhough we have some drunken days where TRE likes to run his mouth.....but hey, whats football without a lil trash talking???

As for your team, i can say you guys run one of the class acts around and we have been a rival for 3+ seasons now. Ignore this tool and continue with success!

Not trying to be a tool, or even ruffle feathers too much. Just pointing out that we can play the game differently than other teams if we want. And that it isn't your place to throw around accusations about us without knowing our motivation.

We started off this team in a bad situation and tried to be competitive too quickly. We've learned from that, and are taking a step backwards to try and turn things around. I don't see a problem with that, and neither should you.

I didn't start the hating, and I didn't start the thread. I don't harbor any bad feelings toward any teams in this league. Its just a game!

The two are not the same. Plus, what you are saying appear to be lies to me.

1. The Knights made about 10 million on trades but have almost no money in the bank. Where did all of that money go? You don't have enough money to make payroll for the season as of now.

It bought sections in the stadium.... yeah takes a genius to figure that out lmao.

2. You sold 3 of your players to teams within the conference and some to leagues that feed into ours. It wasn't done simply to make money as you could have easily found homes for those players on the open market.

I put them on the trade block, and sold them to who offered.... except fot the team in the same league, I sent that proposal, and they counterproposed and I accepted.

Sorry, I am calling bullshit here. It looks like you are selling your team out in order to buy some equipment for your players. Also, I didn't "bash" teams for their stadium size. I merely brought it to attention. It isn't my fault that you ran your team so poorly. Have fun being a CPU team. The Knights have proven to be one of the more pathetic Season 3 teams. I laugh at the fact that you started in A#3 and have a combined record of 19-52 with NO playoff appearances in 5 seasons.

Your call of bullshit will be answered in the offseason when our entire second level of the stadium will be built. Oh and we didnt own the team that entire time, we took over a gutted team a couple seasons ago.....

Okay, then explain to me where you are going to get the money for payroll?! for signing bonuses???

We started building now because we had already lost 4 games... some that we saw as winnable. With as tough as the division is this season, it would be a HUGE stretch to assume we could make the playoffs..... we would have to lose at the most maybe 2 games the rest of the way. Then when we miss out on the playoffs we dont have anything and are stuck in the situation we were last season..... so we threw in the towel now so we could trade those 8/40 contracts off for cash and take a step back for a season. It hasn't been easy because we took over a gutted team and tried to be competive while building the stadium. Taking over a gutted team is a whole lot harder than an expansion team, we have done both.

For the rest of this season? Well we have sold out all our games, so concessions will be our income. We will be fine... if we happen to go red, the core of our team has already said they will stick around..... you see a number of us know each other in rl or from another online community. For signing players for next season, we will have to wait until the stadium is complete and season tickets roll in. So our chemistry will be shit for next season and we probably wont contend right away then either. But you can ask everybody on my team, recruiting is my forte, especially last minute recruiting... that and the finances is all I take care of on my team because that is what I am better at. The teams I gm for, I just recruit for.

I have learned, through the forums, that it takes 2 seasons to bring back a gutted team. That is why I would tell anyone looking for a team to never check anything higher than BBB on the teams they are willing to get.

This was my first team, and the first two seasons were a learning process... we did better last season, and in that time we had expansion teams and gm'ed other teams to learn from our mistakes. We won it all last season on a USA team we had, and went 16-0 in an expansion team but lost in the conference game.
