i miss the good old days when it took 30-40 people to kill Nagrefen and Lady Vox

played it for 8-9 years, since everyone hung out in the tunnels in Ecommonlands

sad

I can't wait for Warhammer 40K Online, pretty much an MMO with all the races so far announced.

Warhammer sounds like it's going to be really solid. But with any MMORPG, if you're going to play end game, you're gonna have to raid a lot more then 3 times a week. I mean, there's always going to be people that are somehow able to raid 7 days a week. MMORPG's are serious business(lol).

Edit: I don't know from experience, but from what I've heard, if you want a casual MMO, pick up Guild Wars.

You got the wrong game. I cut my teeth on DAoC and am now testing WAR, and Mythic does everything they can to avoid forcing people to raid to compete(other than the blunder of ToA). If you want to consider RvR raiding then you would be technically correct, but you can do nothing but RvR/PvP all the way to max level and be at the top of your game with gear etc. This is exactly why i love Mythics games as opposed to WoW. I spent two years raiding full time with a hard core raiding guild who put Illidan on farm not long after BT came out, and is working its way through Sunwell atm, but it just got to be too much like work for me.

P.S. Moon, i am engaged to a gamer myself. The only way to avoid the arguments over spending too much time playing on the puter is to marry someone who likes it just as much as you do! Plus its nice to be able to talk about things and actually have her understand wth im talking about lol

Hah, my wife graduated with an AA in culinay arts. Unfortunately, though she can cook like nothing else, her tendency is into management. She's currently an Assistant Manager at a local Corner Bakery and on the fast track to promotion to a store manager here within the next year.

I remember those days, but on my server we used North Freeport (closer to a bank, etc etc.) I was on Veeshan....home to the power game guild of all power gamers, Fires of Heaven. So it was awhile until us mortals were even able to get a shot at Vox and Naggy

Didn't know they still ran forums, but I know they used to be great back in the day...a little bit of drama and trash talking every day.

I always liked the Triton guild. Back in the Luclin days. Luclin was my favorite.

I'm actually in a Black Temple raid as I type this ...

I loved DAoC back in the day - those RvR Relic Keep battles were epic. I'm looking forward to giving Warhammer Online a try
