Wow, that was an interesting day of games. I got all 8 games right, but some of the scores were way off! Everyone needs to watch their ass for Red River and Houghton, not to mention Montana. Should be a great season.

I would include Maine Hawks in that group as well.

Jesus...our QB hadn't been picked off once all season. You guys were in our playbooks all game long. Kudos!

I gotta disagree with you guys in K&B. Sure y'all have a right to be pissed, but you're not putting things into perspective. Be pissed that you're in A8 and not BBB15 or 16. That's the real problem. Perfect builds aside, you guys are competing against players that are 10-15 levels higher .... more in some cases. That translates into 50-75 build or more. Add to that the fact that your players were created basically in season 5. I have players created in season 1. That's roughly 160 more days of training, so you can figure another 40-50 skill points from that alone. Sure, you know how to build better due to experience, but any jackass can create a player that will beat yours if you spot them 100+ build/skill points.

Also, look at who you lost to. Claiming you lost due to levels alone is a little bit of a slap to Red River. It *MIGHT* be possible that they out game planned you. They're a good team - hell, the whipped my ass. Plus your other loss was to Burleson, who played in the championship last season. So we're not talking about cupcakes.

If you look at the league level guidelines, K&B has a strong arguement that they should be in one of the BBB's. I have no doubt that out of 512 BBB teams, K&B would be in the top 5. But out of 256 A league teams, you'll struggle to make the top 100. THAT's the real problem, the promotion system screwed you. You didn't even get a reach around, just a straight up plowing.

What Purples is missing is, a lot of the level 40+ players in USA A8 ARE slow built TOO. Or at least partly slow built using some cap building.

Houghton isn't a season 1 team, we had some lessons learned already by season 3 and at least used caps in our building style. While we may not be a fully slow built team (taking multiple skills to 68 before putting points in anything else, we did use slow building and cap building principles at least to some extent.

Purples isn't facing old season 1 idiot builds, and they just gonna have to get used to the fact that their competition is other teams built with many of the same lessons learned that they are.

Sorry but i'm afraid you're late on the bus to ask for a free ride based on slow building, even if we didn't have VAs.

Purples, you guys just need to hold to your guns and treat this like one more season of build up. Next season, you have a championship shot, don't lose it just cause you were hoping to have that shot in BBB this season. Hang in there and next season most of the good ones from A8 will have moved up and you'll be a whole season further along. That's your championship shot, it's next season.

you are right on point my friend. We should be in BBB right now, but somehow made the cut.

as for motion 15...
fall off of something really high!

thanks for the words of encouragement fuzzball. I still blame a lot of the problems we are facing on the vet pts, new training, and whatever bort pulls out of his ass next season...

Makes sense, except that there are teams in this league with an average player level equal to our USA PRO team. If they had great builds to begin with, they would have moved up with the rest of the great builds long ago. They're moving up now, though. What changed? Bort's magic fail eraser allowed agents to instantly correct build flaws given they were high enough level.

To the Vice City guys, I guess you're still stupid today. I asked that question in response to In Flames nonsense quoting and bolding of my post. New Orleans does have those levels on us, and they still got blown out by teams they should have been competitive with given the talent on their roster, so what, exactly, were you arguing?

No one was arguing anything, someone asked a simple question as to who you were referring too and you respond with an insult, which is what I responded too. Not that hard to figure out, you have some nerve to call other people stupid.

How dare I quote and bold someone's post, and worse yet ask a simple question...what was I thinking...

Motion, let it die brother, he's obviously not worth the time and effort...

Fish, you may now continue your bitching and whining...have fun with that

Late to the fun but I guess I never understood the VA argument...to be fair I am a bit slow and have never seen anymore of an argument then "VAs magically made older higher level players better" but don't they make a slightly lower level younger player better too? In fact if that younger player was built to have higher main attributes by slow/cap/<insert your favorite buzzword> building should that 1% boost give them even a better boost than some higher level guy that randomly assigned skill points cus they had no real idea what they were doing?

Can you explain to me how this amplified the disparity between a mediocre 45 and an arguably 'well built' 40?

I dunno, I guess I see it as VA makes a mediocre build decent and decent build good and a good build great and a great build godly...*shrug*

because they give a mediocre built lvl 45 a ton of pts to correct their builds...

i honestly think its more than that though. i think bort did something not known to the general public, to give high lvls an advantage. we are getting blown out by teams that we match up with evenly (scouting bars). i am on one of the first ever slow builts and we destroyed teams 10-15 lvls ahead of us, but over the last two seasons, we can not buy a win. i promise you, if this were season 5 or 6, we would be MUCH more competitive...

screw it. we will take our lumps and wish all of you guys good luck. eventually bort will let the higher lvl players die, and hopefully we still have interest in the game at that time...

Maybe SAs are meaning more now... just conjecture. *shrug* I think you can be pretty confident that you will get where you wanna be as you say.

not SAs. I am positive it is either VAs or some new bortism...
every build on our team is a max roll and every player has maximized training. we should be lighting up teams not rated as high as us and playing very well against teams wit hteh same scouting bars. instead, we are getting throttled...
oh well. you guys certainly deserve your success as you have managed to field really good teams even with such competition for decent talent. kudos to all of you...
