If it matters fan, I have no problem with what you did. My team will probably get rolled by yours, but I am going to do everything in my power to make a game of it. I like challenges and your team is definitely one of them.

I have no problem with what he did or how he plays the game.

Hopefully this debate will die soon, but while it is alive, i wanted to take a second to say thanks to those who have responded and to those who have sent PM's.

It was never my intentions to "ruin" anything and I honestly feel that anyone who has ever talked with me believes that.


I have never failed to disclose my game strategy with any coach who wanted to know my #'s after a game, and i have never failed to reveal any of my player builds to anyone who had ever asked to see it (so far no one has asked prior to a game :-)

I don't play this game with any intense anger, and you will never find me in a trash talking match. I simply like to collect data on various tactics with various builds, it's as simple as that.

I have no secrets, i actually feel that exposing my weaknesses (ie special teams) only drives me to fix the problem before anyone else can exploit them. I will galdly give anyone my tactics for any game after it is over, as I feel we are all in a huge learning curve and it is through the help of the other coaches in this league that I have been able to see what works and when, and hopefully i have helped them out along the way as well.

My advantages came from not having to deal with Free agents, i can spend my time scouting and playing with numbers instead of offering 100 guys only to have zero accept. My other advantage is i have full control over 100% of my players, i don't have to worry about the WR's getting mad that i am rushing and visa versa. I can set every single lineman to focus on the same block, I can set every single DB to wrap up or play aggresive. I don't have to worry if my guys are going to have full energy prior to game time.

My advantages are not anything that a good group of friends couldn't replicate. But it is something that one cancer on a team can ruin.

So basically because I think people who have teams which are solely made up of their own players I'm an idiot?

I'm also pretty sure that's not what you were going for, since you were understandable in the first two sentences, then went to a buffoon in the last one.

I personally don't care for people who don't take the time to look for other players or care to try and play this game like how it's meant to be played. And it really does ruin the conference mainly because the person has such an advantage over the other teams because of their chemistry, backups, and with the ability to have total control over everything the other teams really do not stand a chance of getting into the league championship, basically ruining every other teams season, because everyone wants to win obviously.

And what I say shouldn't be taken against my team at all, I don't represent them, I'm only a player.

It is also people like him that allow people like me and you to play for free or very little price compared to other games that charge you up to 15 bucks a month to play. I don't like what he did. Did it ruin the league? No. Would I be pissed if my team only lost to his superteam? Yes. Whould it be less offensive if he lost all his games? No, but it would be funnier. If I could make what he did against the rules, I would. Apparently it's not, so the rest of us just need to suck it up and enjoy the game. If you want to say he only beat you because his team is tweaked, go ahead. We'll all believe you. We all have to play him/them, so for the rest of us it's an even playing field.

I appreciate that he hasn't allowed himself to be baited into more arguments than this, but to counter his defense, just because some other people are cheating more severely/blatantly, doesn't mean it's not unethical.

But basically what we're talking about is the difference between the Patriots and the Yankees. The Pats out-and-out cheated, and so people hate them. The Yanks bought their way to glory, and for a while, succeeded that way, and so people hate them.

If this guy wants to be the Yankees, and doesn't mind being hated as such, more power to him.

Personally, I'll give more respect and admiration to someone who put in more work instead of more money, but that's by no means the only way to succeed legitimately. If he had made an entire team of his own, started them at level one, and didn't boost them to the max (I don't know if he has or not), and just worked them up through the trenches, I'd feel he hadn't really gotten an unfair advantage. Frankly, I think he's robbing himself of the social benefits of having a team of living, breathing players. But again, that's a personal choice.

Ok, this is the owner of the North Side Dream Killers. I apologize to the owner of the Fins for any of my players negative comments. It is more out of hating to lose then anything. You won fair and square, we had a team that on paper should compete with you, you gameplanned better, and your players played better. Good game, and I will looking foreward to a possible re-match in the playoffs. If we do happen to lose in the playoffs, I hope it is to you. Your team is definate AA material, and well.... the rest of us want a chance. Good game.
