NO! Not to the Chargers, Patriots, Cowgirls, Ravens, Clowns, or Jets. Those are my least favorite teams. Sorry Ben and Keller, but I'm like the anit-bandwagon guy. When the Braves and Cowboys were both "America's Team" I hated them. Same for the Patriots when everyone started loving them and their "dynasty".

I'll forgive you for pulling for the Cowgirls since you live there. One is expected to like their local teams...it's why I'm a Bengals fan.

All of this talk about "bandwagon" fans coming from a Celtics fan

And I strongly disagree with the whole "liking your local team" statement. While that is a determinent, I think an even stronger factor is who your father/family cheered for. Moving is fairly common in America, and when transposed a true fan still cheers for his/her team. If a 76'ers father moved from say Philly to LA, the son will more than likely be a 76'ers fan as well instead of a Laker. I just think its all jumbled up, deep roots dont wither away easily and know no geographic bounds.

That's the other one. I'm a Bengals and Reds fan because they are the closest teams and the one's covered here in my area.

I'm a Celtics fan because my dad was a fan since the 70s. I honestly was a Charlotte Hornets fan originally. Why, I have no clue. When they moved the team, I was heartbroken. So, the Celtics became more my favorite team. They had been gaining on the Hornets since they signed several UK guys. I loved that the Celtics got KG because that put my favorite player on my favorite team.

I don't really like bandwagon teams. I may begin to like a team because I have a lot of respect for them. I guess those are the three main ways I've come to like teams. They are close by, family tradition, and respect. I agree that moving doesn't change who a true fan will root for.

My first two players avatars tell it all...

But my teams are the Cowboys-Steelers-Spurs-Stars-Rangers-Red Raiders... sticking true to my local and family roots.

I love this place.

It's better than I hoped.

Shit, I live in Bortland. There's no team close to me. There's no way I could be a Sea Hag fan.

since when does anyone cheer for San Diego? I still can't say Phillip Rivers name in any QB discussion without getting reamed for it.

BTW, you want the oddest combo of teams (Loyal since day one of liking the sport/team)

NFL: Chargers/Niners
MLB: Oakland/San Diego
NBA: Utah Jazz
NHL: Detroit Red Wings

And yes there is a story behind each team.
