I think these ratings were a bit premature but nice write up nonetheless.

Looking forward to the season.

Grizzlies are definitely at threat! Much more so than the Vancouver version ever was...

VA's hurt slowbuild teams in more than just time to make up the difference.

The higher an ability score gets, the less difference percentage wise of an incraease you get with each additional point.

Whether it's due to that or more than that, it's been Bort spoken before, i believe, that the difference between 100 and 110 is not as effective as the difference between 90 and 100.

VA's give the option for any build to increase their primary 2 ability scores by 10 points each, even if not slow built at all, by level 46ish. So the difference between a slow build and a normal build at the same level is now significantly decreased. The slow build is still better, but not enough to see the horrifying differences we saw back in like say...season 5 as was mentioned, because now anyone can easily get an attribute to 100+ and a secondary to 85+ using VAs, not just slow builds.

Difference still exists, but it's not enough to make wins a guarantee anymore by any means.

Experience in BBB leagues is also shit for an indication of how you'll do up here in A league. My HB ran over 4300 yards in BBB and then under 2000 in A the next season...and that was when BBB was stilll only half shit teams and half good competition. If it'd been season 7 in BBB instead of season 6 he'd have done an easy 6500 or 7000 yards...but still only just under 2000 in A. And he's got some slow build in him.

Just sayin...if you thought slow building was gonna give you a magic trophy expresso machine...think again. All the teams coming up have at least a half slow build to their build strategy these days.

It takes slow building AND the most incredible game scouting & planning to come up into a championship trophy these days in anything other than BBB. And a good measure of luck too. You're too late to the party for the magic slow builder expresso maker to work out for you...

VA's were designed to put a sock in slow builders and they're working just right at it combined with the decreased value of additional points in a single skill at very high levels.

I'm startin new players on a pure slow build team next season...it's gonna be at least 7 seasons before they're really competative nowdays and i know that...you can't do it in 4 seasons anymore. Sponsorships are likely to increase the difficulty of competing with slow builds vs veterans even more.

Of course they are premature, that is part of the fun.

It's kinda like buying the old Athlon college football preview magazines in May...

4. Atlanta Wolves (via BBB15)
Last Season: Plowed through BBB15 en route to an undefeated season.
Outlook: What Atlanta lacks in levels, they make up for in tactics and builds. They will challenge for a home playoff game.

All I can say is .... wow. You might want to do some more scouting. Our builds suck and our tactics are a joke, that's why we didn't move up last season to be honest. We 'plowed through' BBB15 because we only had 3 or 4 competitive games and were lucky enough to out level the opposition in those - no offense to the other BBB15 teams, it's not their fault I couldn't lead the Wolves out of the BBB's before it became unbalanced. In 5 seasons against the Miami teams, we might have beat each one once. Houghton blew us out of the water once their slow builds came of age - we couldn't even compete against them. Putting us at #4 is an insult to the 8 teams you ranked below us, honestly.

Other than that though, nice write up

Sand-bagger! You guys looked pretty good in the pre-season.

Shhhh ... we suck. No, really, pay no attention ... we're barely worth scouting. Seriously! Those were just preseason games anyways, and I'm sure the Spartans and Bears were just playing it close to the vest, not giving any tactics away for meaningless games.

Nothing to see here, move along.
