We're still suffering from Clinton to this day. I'll be unbiased when I say that I think we're suffering from Daddy Bush as well. But you know what Bush never did? He never allowed us to be taxed as much as your precious Dems are about to tax. Spread teh welf, naga.

I agree with you. But you will NEVER hear a Dem admit fault for anything.

to expand on Bush's decisions and what had intercourse with the economy, he was in office less than 9 months when the 9/11 stuff happened......he made decisions based on the worst terrorist attack on our soil in history. He made decisions that at the time he thought were the right course of action. Some were good...some were not and we've all got the luxury of hindsight being 20/20. On top of that, some of the worst natural disasters in history occurred during his term....the tsunami in SE Asia and Katrina closer to home had huge impacts on the economy. And despite some of the more extreme left wing tin foil hat wearing moonbats arguements, I don't think Bush had a secret weather machine that contributed to everything. Could some of the decisions that followed been better? Absolutely. But the guy had to deal with a lot of shit during his term that Clinton, Reagan, Carter and Bush I didn't. Reagan comes the closest with the USSR cold war stuff I guess. But yeah I agree 100% dookie that the economy is not something that can be laid at Bush's feet. If all this crap had happened with Clinton in office....or Reagan....or any other president, the same thing would have happened.

Just something to think about......back in 1861 when the Confederate states seceded and Lincoln went to war to preserve the USA, he made a decision for the good of the country that ultimately resulted in an estimated 620,000 deaths combined between the Union and the Confederacy. Thank God he made that decision (this from a South Carolina boy) b/c if he would have just said let them go, our nation would not have been able to accomplish all that it has.....WWI and WWII may have turned out differently. The USSR may not have collapsed.

Now imagine that death toll if there had been instant information like today.....if US citizens had known how many of their family/friends perished. History tells us it was the best thing for the US. But when I think about how I hear all the talk about the quagmire in the middle east and the massive casualties and such, and compare those numbers with what happened in the Civil War (or WWII) and I can't help but think that 50+ years from now, someone is gonna look back on Bush's decisions and his "strategery" and say "wow I'm glad he did what he did".

Anyway off the soap box and will just read for now but had some time and am seriously amazed by the people that bash Bush just b/c it's en vogue. So figured I'd spout off for a bit. Carry on...

Excellent points. And I'm truly interested to see what the overall support was on the invasion of Afghanistan and THE Iraq, everywhere, like, such as. I'm sure it was WELL above 50%. Am I wrong when I say that is what most Americans are disapproving of when it comes to judging Bush's 8 years?

What happens when countries like China decide not to let us borrow money any more? What happens when come to collect the money our country borrowed and can't pay back? Why do you think all of these socialist countries love Obama? They love him because he is moving us to a socialist nation and destroying capitalism. And to comment on your last statement. So, instead of trying to debate logically, you would rather call me a redneck. So I guess it's okay for me to call you a nigga, right homeboy?

Sorry, your points are so inaccurate and biased that it isn't even worth arguing with you. I would equate it to having to teach a foreigner English before you can even make your point to him.

And your not biased in your statements about Bush? And you still haven't answered one thing about how Bush took away our rights to free speech. What do you feel about the Fairness Doctrine? And actually it's not arguing until you through in some insults, like calling me a redneck. You know what I mean nigga.

Ok, if the deficit is at 10 trillion, now, which your chart illustrates, adding 50% more to it is a good idea? Really get a clue. I personal live in New Orleans, actually Harvey a suburb of it, and before that lived in St. Bernard. A parish in LA that had 28,000 homes and 3 were not destroyed by Katerina. Bush did what he could do. And if you are not a tourist in New Orleans in the French Quarter, where everything looks fine and dandy, you have no idea the cost and the magnitude of the destruction down here. St. Bernard, where I again lived till Katerina, over half of it looks like a nuke went off. It is just flat. Not even water logged or damaged house, just gone. So if Bush had to spend some money on a state that produces about 1/2 of the nations oil, then so be it. How the fuck (emotion freebird LOL) is 800 million dollars to NASA going to help anybody that doesn't work for NASA. How is giving out condoms to everybody going to help the economy, if the Dems or so great, (especially Polise) see Del Monte info on what she did to Somma United States, which her husband happens to be very heavily invested in. Look closely at this spending and what it does. Isn't going to help me one bit. Oh, and how do you feel about having your second amendment rights taken away??? It is coming if the Demwits get there way. Oh but that is right the constitution is a antiquated out dated set of rules we live by, right? Or is it just the Demwits that always want to change it. If you dislike it so much GTFO!!!!!!!!!

Nice on the redneck pun. You must be about 16 or just a typical Demwit. Lots of acquisitions with no facts.

The chart is there for the moron who says that Obama and the Dems are guilty of running up a deficit. If you notice it goes down during Dems years and up significantly during Republican years. Every notice how the recessions always start with the Republican leadership? No because you are blinded by your party affiliation. I'm not a democrat, I'm an unbiased independent. As a rationale, unbiased observer, I can clearly see the Republicans have no clue what they are doing and that view is furthered by the moronic, unsubstantiated, 3rd grade intellectual evidence being provide on your behalf.

I like how you bring up Katrina and say Bush did what he can do. Guess what fucktard, this economy has the potential to destroy more than just the city of New Orleans, and that is agreed upon by BOTH PARTIES. It sounds like you guys have the worldy views of small town bumpkins who have never left the farm. Go read up on Japan's economy during the 90s, this is a situation that the US thinks it can spend itself out of just like Japan did. Have you even thought of what happens if the country continues to bleed jobs at the current rate? Go read Grapes of Wrath if you are literate enough. The plan isn't meant to help every individual, it is meant to help the country. By generating more jobs, consumer confidence goes up as does spending. I'm not going to explain economics to you, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't think we can spend our way out of this.

Haven't people been whining about losing their second amendment rights for 200 years and has it happened? Nope. I still own a small arsenal, WTF is the problem? What legislation do you see in process to change that? Or are you just a sheep toeing the line of the past 20 years without the forethought to do your own research?

Redneck pun? Again, go look at the demographics of the Republican party, the majority of the base is small town folk who haven't been outside podunk and are afraid of anyone who doesn't have a traditional English name.

800 million going to Nasa? Are you familiar with the space ship program that is now obsolete and will be retired in the next few years? Are you familiar with Americas defence contractors who are closing because they don't have military contracts? Do you have any clue how many jobs both blue and white collar this program would create in terms of developing and deploying next generation space ships? It would give the defence contractors something to work on so they don't get shut down, keep American space superiority which is crucial to our defense (a RL Republican would know this and support this) and generate new jobs. And don't start on NASA being a waste of money in this economy, because BUSH is responsible for accelerating the NASA budget over the past 4 years when the Dems wanted to reduce it.

Hell I'm still waiting to find out how Bush restricted free speech as Mob indicated earlier but hasn't managed to produce evidence.
