I totally disagree. I mean yeah, there are some teams that are clearly better than others, and those games are basically decided in advance. But the teams that are evenly matched, not at all. Look at the first game of the season - GCP beat us but the sims were glitched and when they re-ran it, we beat them. What's the difference (beside my game-saving interception)? the randomness. In addition, there are team tactics, energy tactics (look at Samara last game), individual tactics (maybe people try to strip the ball and miss tackles, maybe people play too conservative and don't get picks that they could have), player builds (maybe if I had put one more point into speed, I would have caught that guy), etc.
When the teams are pretty evenly matched, we have no idea what to expect. That's what makes this game so much fun. Talking about it on the forums, and laying down a little smack, makes it even more fun.
Right. Most of these games for our league are very easily decided by one play. An interception in the redzone, a backup QB throwing an INT for a TD or a third string TE dropping a third down pass. A short punt... It's not a case of absolutes we're dealing with here. There are so many variables here that even the Regulators could beat Gryphon 1 or 2/10 times, which is the same average as an elite university versus a scrub (App St anyone).
