Lambda,

I'm in a whole player-build zone right now...in all honesty, how would you explain the difference in your performances if you have identical builds?

1 of you at LDE, 1 at RDE and different strength of the OTs?

Are your tactics the same?

Are you playing on hard? (just kidding, i know you are)

If all of those answers are yes, are you guys the same height and weight? Maybe Bort is trying to tell us that smaller DEs should be built as speed rushing RDEs, and the big boys should be strong base/high strength run-stuffers?

I dunno, just thinking out loud...

Yeah, sneaky doesn't work against them--you have to come out and try to punch them right in their dirty whorish mouths, that's how we roll in the Bush League, son.

tactics are the same, he's 2 inches shorter and 18 lbs lighter. there really aren't any difference in builds at all, and there were NO differences in builds prior to level 26 or so. he now has 1 more speed and 3 more agi, i have more in SAs

the #2 and #4 players in sacks this season are enormous DEs that weigh 272 and 278 lbs with pretty much the same height as me

i half think there's a hidden star factor that bort won't tell us about

But I don't think the "Star Factor" is a constant. Rather it is a random variable that some folks keep rolling well over the short term.
I think there is a team variable like this too. There are some games where it just seems like the game wants one team to win. Perhaps a late TD to a slow receiver vs a VERY speedy CB, then the receiver breaks away for a 70 yarder against the fast CB who seemingly got lead in his shoes...

stuff like that you can definitely explain as the nature of randomness. something like the difference between me and faedie's de from levels 13-28 despite almost identical builds every step of the way you can't. we've been trying to figure it out forever, and we really haven't come up with anything

I am not quite ready to abandon sneaky just yet, Watch out for that level 11 WR running the wildcat with our level 13 FB lead blocking.
