We decided on a new direction, we went with it & the new players right away, we gave people the trade option to get out ASAP and the release option that would be a matter of days........it isn't like we are holding people hostage for a season or 2.

I would have released everyone 3 days ago if I could.

I can only release 2 human players a day.

I did tell people that If they wanted to be traded (trades are unlimited) to PM me and I would send them a new contract which allows trades and I would trade them ASAP so that they could get XP right away somewhere. This was the only solution available to me to get people out the door quickly. Instead of asking for a new contract, my kicker posts here. That is his choice. I will trade him today if that is his choice or he will be released in the next 2 to 3 days. I am releasing people as fast as GLB allows me.

So is that in alphabetical order or random number draw or what? What place in line am I to be released? I tried to work out a trade in the generous amount of time you gave us before you kicked us out of the forum but teams are reluctant to trade due to the chemistry hit they take at this point in a season. What do I need to do to get released today so I dont miss out on more game XP?

I am not trying to be a pain or cause a public spectacle but you really leave me no choice when you kick everyone out of the team forum and dont answer PMs.

Sadly, it does. I really feel for those guys that paid money to play a game and now something beyond their control is stopping them from doing just that. I agree with smallbugger, as I feel as I have failed as an owner/coordinator if I cant get everyone at least 30 plays a game. I will short my personal players before I will short anyone else on the team to make sure everyone gets their plays each game.

I'm having no problem trading other positions. As a kicker, your player is uniquely screwed in all of this because of demand issues. You will be released in 2 days.

What is familiar? At the end of season 5, no one lost any playing time. I still think it is better for these current players to miss one or two games at the most and to be released mid-season rather than playing in all of the games this year and being released in the off-season with the multitudes. This gives the released players more time & control.

Don't you think the players on HH are better off missing a game or two and being released in mid-season rather than playing all of the games this year and being released in the off-season with zillions of other players? Of course they are better off this way. However, acknowledging this fact doesn't allow you to be self-righteous and to get up on your soap box.

There is no way to handle a situation like this without some feathers being ruffled but I am confident if you were to talk with these agents in a couple of seasons they will agree that our process which allowed people a 1/2 season head-start in getting on with their GLB lives was the way to go.

i think its the exact opposite. players have all the power during the off season. teams are desperate for players and will do anything to get them. right now its nearly impossible for players to get on a good team because, any team in contention wont want to take a chem hit to sign someone. so these guys may be stuck signing with sub par teams that dont care about chemistry.

as a side note, i have access to two farm teams if anyone needs a temp home for the rest of the season. when you finally get released i can give you a place to get XP as you search for a permanent home. just throwing it out there. wouldnt be the first time ive taken on former happy hour players

You couldn't be more wrong. Players have more control if they are released now. If they choose, they can wait until the offseason but from a supply/demand point of view, their intrinsic value decreases because of all of the players released on Day 40 & later. There are good teams who will pick up players right now if they feel it is worth the chemistry hit. I am seeing it happen - and these aren't sub par teams that don't care about chemistry.

It is even more humorous that you take a jab at any team who would sign someone and then end your post offering to sign these players. As for signing HH players, trust me, you need all you can get to have a shot.

Why do they have to be removed from depth chart until they get released/traded?

They don't have to miss a game at all. I told them when we first started this process that if they wanted out ASAP, to send me a PM and I would send them a new contract which would allow me to trade them. Everyone who has done this has been traded or has a trade pending. My kicker choose not to do this yet he still decided to come to this forum to complain......ponderous.

I would understand people being upset if they got nuked for a season or even a half season. However, any HH player who chooses not to be traded out will miss at the most a couple of games.

Either way, HH wants our new slow-build guys to get all of the reps now to get the new process underway since it will take multiple seasons to reach its fruition.

Just an FYI to prove my point. I have a trade pending for a WR (Silver Surfer) to Youngstown Villains, a 10-1 team in 3rd place in their league with 100% chemistry across the board.

first off, i didnt take a jab at anyone but Happy Hour. me offering to sign guys is solely for their benefit, it does me absolutely no good. i wasnt offering them a spot on Ocho, you'll notice i said farm team. just trying to help out the agents who feel they are getting a bad deal in all this. and as for me trusting you and your opinion, you guys have proven that thats not a very good idea. good luck with Happy hour, version 3.

How would it be helpful for someone to go to your farm team when they could sign with a legit team & join a playoff race?

Your altruism smacks of someone who is jealousy by the way.

Quick question for you Fruitbat.....where else was I supposed to go with this since I was locked out of the team forum and you nor Frost will respond to PMs that I have sent to you? The one response I did receive said for me to have the team that was interested send a minimum offer but I still havent received that updated contract that was promised if I found someone to make a trade with. Unfortunately the team that I was speaking to does not want the chem hit right now that is caused by making a trade and would prefer it if I was released so they could sign me but apparently since I wasnt able to work out a deal in the 12 hrs between the announcement of the team changing and being locked out of the forum I am just shit out of luck. One other question....if everyone else has already been traded or has a trade pending, why is it going to take another 2 days of me sitting on the bench not earning XP before I can get released?

Seems to me that with a slow building team like this that is going to be getting spanked on a regular basis game in and game out this season you could at least throw me on the kick off return team or punt team.....should be plenty of snaps in those departments to go around and still get all of your level ones plenty of experience.
