We are talking the best of the best guys lol. Ringo was a studio musician in the right place at the right time. He could basically count to 4 at the same pace everytime.

Bonham could play with one arm and still be better than Ringo Starr.....Bonham is truly one of the best drummers ever....definitely top 5 and a serious contender for #1. One of the most underrated drummers of all time is Peter Criss of KISS...he's actually a phenomenal jazz percussionist....hard to believe

I have found respect for your musical knowledge.

Haha thanks man, I've played drums for 33 years and guitar for 27. I hope I learned some stuff along the way

Yep on Bonham. Good call on Peter Criss too. If you want speed and showmanship, I've never seen a better drummer than Shannon Larkin of Godsmack. I haven't seen them in concert but I used to go see his old band (DC local band many years ago) all the time. He is incredible.
I'll give you another underrated drummer. Mitch Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix Experience. He had to be good to stay with Jimi. He was fast too.

Would being 25 really be considered "so young"?
Not really but if you don't know who John Bonham was, yes.
Oh my bad I almost forgot everyone grows up listening to hard rock music.
Hard rock music? That's what Led Zeppelin is reduced to? You might want to check out some of their blues tunes. I'd say they are more of a cross between metal and blues. Hard rock to me is like Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, the Foofighters and that kind of bubble gum bullshit. It sounds fairly decent but it's about as deep as a conversation with a stripper and takes about as much talent. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands of all time, if not the greatest. Every guy in their band was a classically trained musician and you can hear it in their music.
I didn't like them until I listened to a lot of their stuff and the stuff you don't hear on the radio. I hate Stairway to Heaven. Hate it. But they have some unbelievable tunes. I don't think you can put them in one musical category. You might like them. Of course, I don't know your musical tastes, you're right.

John Bohnam was the drummer for Led Zeppelin, he is dead and Jason is his son also a drummer for the rock group Bohnam. Jason has played drums with the remaining members of Led Zeppelin on some occasions.
Thanks I actually checked wikipedia after doing the quiz and after reading the entry I realized I probably could have lived for another 50 years and died and never heard a single note from John Bonham.
Dude, you have no idea how sacrilegious that statement is. Probably one of the top 5 drummers ever to live along with, Keith Moon, Neil Peart, Buddy Rich, and Stewart Copeland
Nice! I personally like Simon Kirke also. Not a top five bit i like the way he plays.

Now this is a guy I can agree with. I absolutely loathe Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, they are so overplayed I wanna puke everytime I hear them. But play me Ten Years Gone or The Rain Song and I'm almost brought to tears those songs are so perfect.
But if you held a gun to my head and told me to pick the best album of all time, I'd say Quadrophenia by The Who.

Bad Company and Free were great bands but man, I'd put Kirke in the realm of Alan White or Carl Palmer. Great but not in the top.
