If you're smart and build this way you can even get ahead of the Bort "fix" curve and have better players every season as he gets things right and balances the attributes you knew were important last season.

Not sure I understand what's not to agree with.
Builds get nerfed when agents try to capitalize on the "flavor of the day" attribute by dumping the vast majority of their points into it. Then, when the flavor changes the next season they have a "nerfed" build.
However realistic the sim currently is or isn't, the parameters are set and apparent, whether intentionally or otherwise, and people react to them either with common sense or not. Common sense says the more balanced a player is the less chance of a nerfed build next year. GLB Exploit "sense" says exploit what's exploitable this year and take your chances with next year.
