Warrior General Games

no sour grapes and I love this game to much to not be here, but to go this low by a team that could have won anyway just doesn't sit well with me and I am one of the many that are lobbying for some kind of 'memory' on the defense to totally shut down plays run over and over again, its been on the main forum for a month now, I'm sure you've seen it.

This game had no bearing on me or my team what so ever, so I am only speaking out becasue it was too low, I would expect this out of some of the other players I know on here, but not the Legion.

even inside the 5 you still ran this play, so that tells me your AI looked something like this:

Any Down
75% I formation Run Right
25% Strong I formation Run Right

3rd and more than something over 3
100% Pass (some unknown play)

Hell you even used the play on 4th down with a 43 to 14 lead.

I understand- but how many times do you have to have it done to you before you jump on the bandwagon? I'm all for the changes that are being discussed- but for now, I use what I am given- otherwise I lose, again...

I think you could have won without it and probably lost a few supporters doing it the way you did.

And you know as well as I do that play can be stopped, but takes an extremely unbalanced defense to do it, opening up way too many other holes.

Hence the reason for running a balanced attack all year long- then WHAMMO! Run it straight at em', again, and again, and again... and win a championship.

You know- this game kind of reminded me of my 6th grade CYO football season. 6-0 and unscored on for the year. I still remember the play that we ran (20+ years ago)- over, and over, and over. Power I right 42 and power I right 41. Every once in a while we would pitch it outside and have one of our 75 pound WR's crack down on a LB- but that was just to mix it up. It worked then, and it worked today. Everyone in the league probably thought it wasn't fair- but that's sports, and that's football.

If CCC couldn't stop what we had drawn up for a first down play then what do you expect. 8 3rd downs means that CCC didn't do anything to try and stop the run if you lose respect for finding a weakness in a team and exploiting it then maybe you shouldn't be in this game. And like Hix said if it is a known issue why didn't CCC try to stop it at all?

So 11 times these plays were ran on you for 68.5 yards and a TD, that is 6.2 yards per rush, that isn't stopping it in my book.

It would have been defended differently if I thought they were going to use a different game plan. They didn't, and they lost.

close! and that 4th down was nice wasnt it? 4th and half a yard reels off a 27 yard rumble. dont piss in my post toasties because you guys cant win a title regardless of how. its an online sim game. I did my homework and set the AI to what I thought would be most successful. did i know it would be THAT successful? no! i mean honestly even running a predictable play for our first downs, and second downs less than 5 yards does anyone REALLY expect to get to 8 minutes in the 3rd quarter before they even see a 3rd down? hell we only had 3 third downs all game. As for the 4th down, I have had 4th and less than a yard as a play in our AI since the AIs started and if anyone doesnt they are idiotic because the sim will punt the stupid ball when you can get a 1st down 90% of the time just by running a play. I watched three games to prep for this. Our preseason scrimmage (which we passed almost exclusively and got our asses whipped by them), the OU game they had first game of the season (due to it being a common opponent), and the BOR conf. final (because BOR changed something from their first game that made the second a whole lot closer). want to know what i found? 1) our passing attack did not fair very well against their d. In watching the games, they chose not to pressure as much as a lot of defenses did this season and instead dropped a lot of guys in coverage. this opens up the run 2) BOR should have run it a lot more because they had a lot of success doing so, particularly to the right (not to mention we have had trouble running to the left because the weak side linebacker is generally free), even considering all this we actually had some pass plays in the AI, we were just never put in many situations to have to use them and when we were the sim chose the percentage for a run...i didnt see you on here bitching when we threw for 900+ yards in a game by running a limited set of pass plays against a slow build/gutted team. what makes that any more respectful than this game? hell by laying off on a few games we cost ourselves the home game for the title game and about 4.8 million in ticket sales and 1.3 in concessions. i assure you we wont make that mistake again. simply put i played the game to win and if that is wrong then i guess i lose your respect because honestly i have always like you, ultra, and why now you have taken this holier than now stance for us spending 4 days gameplanning this game and finding a weakness we could exploit is beyond me. good luck to you in AA and im sorry if you dont approve of my gameplanning.

hell in Remember the Titans the coach ran 4 plays exclusively and everybody cheered for him...i guess the Legion just isnt the 'feel good' story of this year...

Ultra someone reads this and they would think that you were the owner of CCC and crying like a little baby about this. I am shocked that you are throwing flames out like you are on not one forum but 2. I never expected anything like this from someone that I really respected on here but DAMN bro if you are going to cry about a game in a league that you have no team in then you need to go have a smoke or something take a step back. CCC didnt see it coming and we exploited them with it. Move on TIB isnt bitchin about this at all

you know what...it doesnt matter at this point...i have waited 4 seasons to win a title and im not going to let someone come along and try to tarnish it with their opinion on a game that has no bearing to them specifically...i just want to enjoy it and also congratulate CCC for their outstanding season, as they played as well and better than us at times this season...today was just our day
