Ha, small world. I just noticed you're on the Cali Braves. My DC is a GM for that team and I also GM with the owner of that team on the Guam Gorillas.

Wolverine is a good dude. JamMurray too.

As for your first response to me - you are giving too much weight to a week 1 game now that it's week 19. Both teams have gotten bigger and better. We were the lesser team that day - with any luck we'll get a chance to avenge at least one of our two losses this season. Dresden robbed us of a chance at a clean sweep.

And Sherrie was giving way too much weight to a pre season scrimmage game. Honestly, he should just shut up, cause when he loses it'll only make him look worse.

Once again, the point was made the Red Star could not be beat. My point stands, doesn't matter when the game happened, they were, in fact, beat There is no 'weighting' here, simply a fact. Red Star lost, therefore they can be beaten.

Exactly, he didnt say we were undefeated, he said Red Star as of right now, cant be beat.
Its like say Cherry cant keep his mouth shut. Its not to say he has never kept his mouth shut, but as of right now, the fool cant stop opening his pie hole!

Okay, I think we can all agree that the 1972 Dolphins were undefeated and could not be beaten - right? I would liken scrimmage games in GLB to preseason games in the NFL, both are used for the same purposes. Here are the results of the 1972 Dolphins preseason games.

The 1972 Dolphins perfect season in review:

1. Preseason - 8/5/1972 at Detroit - 23-31
2. Preseason - 8/12/1972 Green Bay - 13-14
3. Preseason - 8/19/1972 at Cincinnati - 35-17
4. Preseason - 8/25/1972 Atlanta - 24-10
5. Preseason - 8/31/1972 at Washington - 24-27
6. Preseason - 9/10/1972 Minnesota - 21-19

Looks to me like they lost a few preseason games...Yet their season is still "perfect" - which means that they were unbeatable.

Ultimately, anything can happen - that's why the game is played. I'd put my money on the Red Stars though.

I think they can be beat!

We havnt given Red Star a proper game yet..our Offensive and Defensive Tactics wern't set and the playbook was full of broken plays when we first met... I was surprised that they didnt put more over us in regular season.. annoying but true!!

So I reckon we can overcome them tomorrow...don't really see them hurting us all too much if we do get beat and it will be a great game..don't be fooled by the rating system..we have overcome most higher ranked teams

I was more worried about the P-funks than Red Star all season and feel tomorrow will show the real who's who from the Zeta!!

Good luck to both Dresden and Dublin btw..hop to see ye in the final!

That's awfully sweet of you to worry about cherrie's reputation and appearance in the league forums.

What would happen if the Red Stars lost though...? I know it can't happen, but what if...? Should the other teams feel bad for not telling you to keep quiet in the league forums all season long? Should we feel responsible for your sudden loss of face on teh interwebs?

I think, in the future, that posting in the league forums should be solely for reporting stats on games that happened just prior to the post and then deleted immediately afterwards. The chance that someone's feeling may get hurt or someone's online persona might be called into question for making a prediction or discussing this game we are all playing is too great a risk.

Ha...I love it. This is how rivalry's are born!!!!

Hope to see you ladies in the championship where all the smack talk won't matter and its just the play on the field that counts.

No, he didn't say 'as of right now, Red Star can't be beat.' He said, Red Star can't be beat... there was no qualifier.

And, this is a she, not a he. I know you pretty much can't tell the difference between male and female... but now you know

As for Dublin/Red Star game would go... let's see about getting by Dresden and Cork first. I know for a fact that Dresden will not be a pushover (we beat them 37-13 in our last meeting... but I don't take that as meaning they can't beat us), and looking back you only beat Cork 28-14 last time you played, and Cork is looking stronger than ever. I'd say, don't be so stupid yourself and think about the game at hand, not the game that may or may not occur. Considering that we won by 24 and you guys only won by 14, I'd think you should be very much concerned about the Rebels than the Irishmen.

Good luck, Cork. I'd like to see you guys win to stuff Red Star here another season... but I would like you to lose if we beat Dresden, so that we can be the ones to shut their pie holes

Would those be "cherrie" pie holes?

Oh, I couldn't resist.

And you also wished "Cork" good luck in "stuffing our pie holes". Essentially, putting a "Cork" in it.

God the schtick is just flowing right now.

Anyway, Red Star is coming for all y'all.
