would you rather me just put every player from Buffalo on the All-Pro Team?

I seriously don't understand how Haywood isn't on the team. I have no affiliation with the guy or his team, but look at his stats and there is not another CB that has played better than him this season.

I'll add to the argument that Dogs CB Torch Johnson should be worth a mention as well. Haywood is a solid performer. Here are some stats for comparison. Obviously, stats don't tell everything but at least worth a look. I guess I'm arguing for Haywood and Torch here...

Haywood - 1,132 plays, 11 INT's, 7 for TD's, 82 tackles, and 54 PD's
Torch - 762 plays, 10 INT's, 5 for TD's, 59 tackles, 3 sacks, and 46 PD's.

CBs with 80+ tackles are rarely going to be considered as pro-bowlers in this game as it's usually an indicator they have coverage issues. Tackles for a CB are not a good thing, if they're coming from pass coverage. It's why those that are active in stopping the run game are always looked down on unfairly, and why judging CBs effectiveness is tricky.

Can't speak for Haywood, as he may be a run stopping pro-quality CB, but he could also just be bad in coverage or baiting QBs and having to clean up after himself a lot. Anyone making the decision would have to watch a lot of games to truly pick out a star CB with run stopping skills, when it's very easy to pick out a good specialist pass coverage CB (Tackles < INT+PDs).

nope.

your list includes everyone worthy. 2 on Offense, two on D and a K...

thats 5 and its reasonable and quite frankly, they deserve it.

In Haywood's defense, a lot of it depends on who the other CB is. I gotta give props to The Mate, because if he weren't shutting down the pass on the other side I'm pretty sure Hunter wouldn't have been thrown to as often. At some point, you just have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Unfortunately, teams just had to throw it up and pray they made the right choice. Hunter Haywood made them regret it 11 times.

i'm going to start going through our roster, but i'm thinking RGB's MLB Le DeeJay deserves a nod in a LB slot.

115 tackles, 16 hurries, 5 sacks, 9 PDs, 2 Ints, one TD, 2 Forced Fumbles.

that's an All Pro line right there. i mean, other than libertine, no LB with 100+ tackles had that many hurries or sacks.

for PRs, i think Mullet Man oughta get the nod. sure, he had one less TD than the guy who currently has the all-pro slot, but he did it in 54 LESS returns, *and* he has a higher average return by 1.5 yards.

and who are these Shiver and Slocum guys at the C slot? Holdem Miles had almost more pancakes than the two of them combined...

and Fart Factory and Bubba Wizard over Rocky Roller at the G slot???? how's that work?

i'm just getting started, but those are the guys from RGB Berzerk that without even doing research need selection on the All Pro team...

Holdem Miles is also a Guard and not a C. There's also more to it than just Pancakes. Which is why I won't necessarily argue that Max Rockatansky deserves to be there.

RGB gave up 45 sacks and didn't have a very good rushing average (5.2 ypc compared to the league leaders over or around 7 ypc), so I honestly can't see why two guys on that line automatically deserve pro bowl selections. Not saying that they don't either, as it could be that they were carrying other poor players on their backs and it would've been even worse if they weren't there, but it's a bit silly to claim that they're a given on the pro bowl team.

Was a bit surprised to see that my FB was the sole Mauler on there, but no complaints from me on that front

Meh! Dawgs isn't done yet, so not gonna jump on him yet, expecting changes at WR if nothing else, as the picks there are a little odd and skewed by team style (Colston for example had 269 passes thrown his way during the regular season :S, 61% completion is good but not stunning, JoJo at 81% completion has been the star of the show, Matt Bunn at 49% is a liability rather than an all star).

hey guys.

keep in mind, most of this is solo. i haven't really gotten a lot of help from the peanut gallery

I've got NO problem swapping guys in and out, especially with a convincing argument.

This is supposed to be a COLLECTIVE group effort.

I feel like its pretty solid as is right now, but a couple tweaks are definitely needed.

Give me some DTs and TEs to fill out this roster!

I'll throw out DT Norse Man from my team.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=101138&playoffs=0

He only had 20 tackles this year, but I can honestly say I don't believe he was pancaked or ran more than a few times all year. Anchored a much improved defense.

How do you know how many balls were thrown at them?

Colston has to be there man, he was the hawks offense. In the interest of trying to get at least one play on the All-Pro team, i think he's more than worth. He carried the offense. Only 5 games under 100 yards, playing on a team with pretty bad protection and NO other receivers.

He gave up almost 100PDs, it was hardly a standout season, they just have him as favourite target i'm guessing by the play balance, and so passes are being forced into him. He's a solid WR on a bad pass heavy team, there's plenty of equal or better WRs that haven't had their stats inflated (Most teams in the top 10 have a 65% or better main WR completion percentage-wise).

And how I get the stats, my little secret .

Can give you a decent run-down though for each team in terms of reliability.
