Really? That is not what one would gather from the storm that you have tried to raise and have supposedly reported. I'll agree that it is not a rule. Heck, it doesn't even seem to be an ethical standard that you hold given that you yourself have violated it. It was just a tool to whine with.

Yes what we did was recruit. If you were too silly to not recruit 35+ dont hate on us. If Bort wanted to make it so that you couldnt play in a lower league after playing in a Pro league than he would make that a rule. he didnt. It is really simple.

We out recruited you, tough.

Recruit - CONN CHRIS Owned the team and the majority of the MULES starters are HIS OWN PLAYERS from AAA Leagues.

And while were getting into it.

Nice Trade here - 20 some days ago - appears Max Cash was given by the Fire for a WR.
Nov 3, 2008 Coachy Jones (Lv28 WR) San Francisco Fire $578584 processed

Coachy Jones never played a game for the Fire. He was either released or had an expiring contract.

NOW that is DEFINITELY collusion.

Oh yea...CONN CHRIS owns this player.

Who did you recruit? CONN CHRIS and Sabre and another guy in your 'organization'?

Obsess about Chris and the Mules much? You've taken this to a new low. I haven't heard this much whining about someone not playing fair since preschool.

it actually doesnt, it appears that Vols is basically going off of those rule for youth baseball (which might as well apply here since you have resorted to name calling and shooting down Vols' claims without any sort of clarification on the matter). so by those ethical standards Vols is in the clear morally speaking. when a team has 38:1 passing TDs and a 45:0 Rushing TDs ratio you KNOW they dont belong in the league, its a matter of common sense people. The Quasars were the same way last year and as we saw they were out of our league and were rightfully moved out.

There are a lot of fallacies being thrown around here in hopes that everyone else is just as childish and keeps on with the trend.

he is improving the team, now he's trying to improve the league theyre in.

Im curious. if bort were to come in and set the final ruling on all this, would any of you guys man up to being wrong? rules are often made after whats wrong has been done, so the claim "bort allows it" may not stand the test of time

It would be extremely difficult for Bort to come in and retroactively say players who played in higher levels can't go to lower levels. He can implement a new rule for future free agents, but not go back and undo all the signings. That would affect more teams than just the Mules. I would wager to say, it would affect almost half of the teams on GLB. The backlash would be to great. So there would be no "manning up" because according to the rules we play by now, this is not illegal.

LOL....Bort won't do that, I never implied that he would or even would want him to....I'm implying that its LOW to bring in a Canada AAA team to Canada A. Its not a 'good' move.

I would like him to implement a rule - once the reclassifications are more aligned - in the sense of the youth baseball organization. It would count for teams that are gutted as well, same thing happened in select baseball all the time. A kid would sign up for a team in AAA thinking he was ready - the team would fold. The kid could play AA again but only on a team with 3 other players with AAA experience.

How in the world is that whining? 580k for a player that was probably a level 23-24 level player 21 days ago? Then the player NEVER plays a down for the USA PRO San Francisco Fire - doesn't get traded by the Fire either, he was either released or contract expired. 580k free money for the MULE who were in desperate need of cash.

im not saying if bort were to take action, im saying if he were to SAY what constitutes as unsporting "recruiting". i like how u even said "according to the rules we play by now" after i JUST said rules generally come after the problem. it was a hypothetical situation nonetheless. i was looking to see what sort of character everyone had is all.

I guess Algoma and Marleys didn't belong in Canada BBB #4 last season then...and it was capped at level 13.

Basicaly, I have brought my players here that were on a team that was detroyed by the owner and a few other agents did the same. We all also had players that started on this team when the league was first released. We happen to have a fairly large circle of friends within the game and make trades on occation to assist each other. Sure that is collusion in as much as it's two people deciding together to take an action. It is not collution in a sense that rules were being worked around.

We have quite a few players on the team that were not acquaintances prior to them playing with us on this team. It's all about networking and making relationships.

What we have done is so routine and mundain in this game that none of it has ever struck me as un-sportsman-like. If it is and new rules are made, I can live with that. This isn't the NFL or amatuer baseball or anything else. It's GLB and has a set of rules all it's own.

I have players on seven teams, if any of them reach a point where they will be parting ways with a current team and we need them here I will probably bring them along too. If a friend needs/wants them, I would send them there. I can't see how any of that is unsportsmanlike.

Starting a huge storm over people opperating within the rules as he has done does though strike me as whining. His main objection at first was that we brought in players of higher level from higher leagues (something even he has done). That is a silly argument to have the way GLB is set up. It happens everywhere, every day around here. To decide that we should be the focal point of his whining crusade is an annoyance but nothing more.

And by the way, the new players that we have added have been added over a period of time stretching back to the beginning of last season. It didn't happen over night. And now, we are on a similar footing with Niagara and Nova Scotia and still not quite up to what Quebec and Antioch were last year before they moved on to AA. Is this all over the fact that Niagara thought it was 'their turn' and are upset that there is competition? Seriously, look at the players on our team, the Snakes and teh Assassins. They are very close and should be great games - isn't that what we all want?

Finally a sensible response.

But Chris...Collusion is is AGAINST THE RULES:
