No, that is not where the problem arose. You started off on a bad foot boasting about the oodles of players that you are signing left and right. Ok, I guess I can kind of understand that as trying to spark a competitive conversation but after a while it got old and annoying. Then when you lost to the Monkeys you tried to dismiss that as just not having enough depth. Then, when the Parrots beat you, the claim now is that you had a "small" AI tweak that caused the problem. Again, no tipping your hat to the victor without mitigating factors. I think that's why some of my players got a little lippy after the win. Whether you realize that or not that implies bad sportsmanship. And maybe it was unintended and just was an unhappy side effect to you trying to get your team better.

Is there still a path for league relationship salavage? Sure, I'd like to think so. You have a good team and seem to take quite the interest in GLB. That's common ground. We all are trying our best. But you should understand no one likes a sore winner. Dismissing a win by a team because of said A or B trivial thing is disrespectful to your opponent. Bragging about all the level bazillon players you are supposedly signing is also, disrespectful. If you'd like to be part of the community here then I think that'd be a worthwhile endeavor. I told you why I used to like WE A #2. I think it can be that way again. But we never smack talked about raping another team. Guy, that's just not cool talk and it isn't a funny joke. That was your player that said that and thus you are accountable for said actions.

Anyways, if you want to spend the rest of the season arguing with us and looking forward to getting out of here well, that's your choice. If you'd like to take a different path and try to be part of this league then I'd like to think that is something some might try to do. At least, I'd give it a shot with you if you were making a real effort. But it really is up to you.


Alright, I never intended any of the "excuses" as bad sportsmanship, and when we lost I did tip my hat, check the threads.
I never wanted anything to get this bad, but once I start getting called out, I got a little pissed.

I understand that chemistry may have lost us the games, but you have to take into account that we have 2 CB's. We got torched at the end of the game. If you look again, we were winning the whole game vs. you guys. We lost the 4th quarter, but I salute you guys on your win.

I signed a guy, and the first place he came to was the league board. I didn't tell him to come here.

I have a running back created around that same day in season 1. He's now almost level 40 and one of the most productive RB's in Western Europe Pro.

and if you guys are talking about me, I came here on my own terms. I was hoping this forum would be like SA Pro so I started to make it that way. I'm a Kai at heart, it's human nature for opponents to hate me on GLB

Yes, you did at first (hence why I am trying to see if we can at least get civil this rift that has your team left out there on its own in WE A#2). But based on all the seeds that were planted throughout the smack talk season, one of my players got a bit worked up and posted something after the win. No profanity. Just one word. Can you honestly blame him? So the "call out" happened because of things leading up to that night. In my opinion, I would hope that thread isn't what "pissed you off". Because if it did, then all this talk about liking a little smack talk from you is hypocritical.

Mali was hardly innocent and they did indeed facilitate it with all the trash talking done throughout the season. You guys are still talking about all the non boosted level 99 players you have. How is this supposed to be interpreted as good sportsmanship? As you said, go back and look at the threads before this game. I can say that I wish my player hadn't jumped on things like he did after the win with emotion but his message clearly falls into the competitive talk that you over at Mali seem to like. No line was crossed at that point and there was no reason for you to get pissed at that point. But it's not like all the league smack talk leading up to that point Mali had been doing didn't make it understandable. Go back and look how you handled it?

A Parrots GM after the original poster tried to congrat you on a good game as well as letting you know that the original poster did not speak for the Parrots. The Kings even asked you what happened. How did you respond? Where were you or one of your GMs handshaking my GM that was trying to give you that gg handshake in that unfortunately started thread? How did you show respect for one of my GMs trying to throw out an olive branch?

Your team seems to be not well liked in WE A#2 right now by more than just the Parrots? Why do you think that is? We're all assholes?

I can say that this GLB is just a game and that's how I view it. If we get beat by Mali in the playoffs I'm not going to lose a wink of sleep over it. I work in real life and come home and use GLB as a hobby to play. I like to win but the purpose for me (and most of my players) is to have fun and meet some new people. It'd be nice if we could learn more about Mali and maybe even what you care to share about GLB. But with "We're better than everyone else" talk being spouted no one is really going to want to do that.

Honestly, GLB is a game.
We want to win the game.
We talk trash about the game.
We make jokes about the game.

I don't think rape is a topic that ever is funny. It honestly sounds like someone watches too much Family Guy as they try to joke about that on there as well. It isn't funny there and it isn't funny anywhere. In the bigger picture as a human being, isn't it enough for me to say that it greatly offended me? And maybe offended some of my players to a point of retaliation?

Yes, you did. And until you figure out what you did (and continue to do) you're going to end up ticking off people again and again in whatever league that you end up in and find owners all seem to be assholes wherever you go. Take that message in whatever way you wish. Either as an opportunity to learn something and do some personal introspection or something to just roll your eyes at.

4. Taking things with a grain of salt
5. understanding that this is a game
