All I know is... I know a couple that lives in Houston that just bought a house for $140k that would have easily gone for AT LEAST $300k here in Charlotte. Fucking gay. Charlotte sucks... why are people paying that much for houses out here?

ha ha try houses for 600 to 1 mil in the DC area. Same house that costs 300K in charlotte and 140 in houston.

what does a townhouse goes for in Charlotte and in texas?

No shit... most of my girlfriends mothers side of the family live in the DC area. Fuck that shit... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too expensive.

I'm living in a town home with my girlfriend at the moment and it's valued at ~$102k I believe. I can't imagine what it would cost for one in Texas. They probably just give 'em away down there.

a few years back i paid 179K for my town home, now it was worth almost 300K but with the market it is back down to like 250K

Texas doesn't have townhomes, they all live in trailers

I lol'd.

I was sighing at your false connotation of Texas, and no I dont live in a trailer park lol. Townhomes take on a different role here, with all of the land we have our population density is fairly low. About 4 years ago I was looking at a few in the DFW area and I saw anything from 100k to 650k to buy and from 900 to 3500 per month to lease. Most of the upper end stuff was in Highland Parks which surrounds the SMU campus, the town is very affluent and its where qutie a few of the Cowboys/Mavs live.
