Yeah, we need to beat a good team so we can stop dropping in the power rankings.

Should be a very good game, and am looking forward to it.

UPCOMING GAMES OF THE WEEK - What a week of games as the battle for relegation really heats up this week.

Alpha Conference
Davenport at Sunderland - The Charvers play host to the Tigers in what is sure to be an entertaining battle of futility, although both teams have gone about futility in their own way. The Charvers are actually looking to build a team and have started with a few mid-level guys and some lower level guys that are being developed. The Tigers, on the other hand, have picked up a few players and then filled in the roster with CPU's. The game obviously has no implications for the playoffs, and the only real implication I can find is that the winner might more easily stave off relegation, particularly as both teams look towards possible wins in late-season matchups with the Vikings, Car-Bombers and Rattlesnakes. Line: Charvers by 1.

Zeta Conference
CROATIAN at Milano - See above for the description in this game, with the FLESH EATERS attempting to build a solid team by starting with some LVL 4-7 players, and the Xela killing a team with one active player and a bunch of LVL 22-24 CPU players. The Xela have one active player, no GM's, and the owner hasn't logged on in more than a month (how does he still have the team?), so advantage to the entry-level players over the CPU players in this one. Line: FLESH EATERS by 7.5

Honorable Mention Games
Mannheim at EASTWICK - Had I not gone with the best of the worst for the Games of the Week, this would easily be the game of the week, as two undefeated teams again do battle to see who challenges Tilburg for the top spot in Zeta. The SAVAGES pulled off the 19-14 win last season with a 4th quarter comeback in which they held Mannheim scoreless in the final frame. Even with the game at EASTWICK, however, Mannheim looks too strong this season, so I'm picking the Jaguars in a revenge game. Line: Mannheim by 8.
London at Hattgenstein - The Vols are undefeated, and have already played the 2nd and 4th place teams in their conference. They add to the difficulty this week as they play the 3rd place Aces. As the Vols seem to lose 1 regular season game each season, and it looks like easy street for the Vols after this game, this could be a chance for the upset.
Belfast at the Soft Fluffies - Belfast looks to rebound from their loss to the Vols as they travel to the Briar Patch to take on the Pancake Bunnies. The Bunnies have surprised everyone with their 4-1 start, but look for Belfast to bring the Bunnies into reality in a blow-out. Line: Belfast by 60.
Portuguese at Denmark - Both teams are 4-1. The Destruction came on strong last season and the Men-of-War are out to prove they have improved and are a contender. I'm giving a slight edge to the Destruction at home, with the expectation that they aren't looking forward to their meeting with Mannheim next week. Line: Denmark by 3.

The Vols don't lose this early in the season.

Denmark handled us pretty well last season, so I'd just like to keep things closer.

We were able to improve on our results from last year vs Eastwick, so I'm really hoping for a repeat performance against Denmark.

It's amazing what cutting dead weight agents and overzealous GM's can do for a team!

Last year Mannheim didn't have their punting settings in order. We were still working on the AI. Time for the Savages to feel the wrath of Mannheim.
