i have a new team with rookie players. since it was virtually impossible to sign free agents, i had to build my team. i have 4 active players and rest are mine. out of 400 contract offers, i had 2 join, and one of them was a Mizzou tiger fan, so he was joining regardless, i even offered a level 1 lb 40K plus 8K signing, and still no dice.

Some of the newbies made no sense, didnt take the solid $ with big signing$, but took less $ to be 3rd string on a stud team. Why? because they wanted to play in USA league  It's a simulation league, your really not playing in USA, wankers. I could of made my team, Mizzou Tigers, but kept with Euro theme, and this league and forums seem very active, which is nice.

i tried for 2 weeks to get a FS, no dice, and had to make one. Even the CPU players were getting too much in contracts for me to sign!

I hear ya Adelpiero, there seems to be a real stigma attached to playing in the "US leagues"!

We are from the UK and chose Western Europe because of the times our games are played. Well, were played last season lol It was 7pm which would have been perfect. For some reason it has now been switched to 2pm which is not quite as good. Oh well, onwards and upwards :-)

We finally got a win in our 7th game. We played somebody even lower level than ourselves and won 37-0. We've now scored 50 points.

The Sidhe are at 1-7, as well.

It gets REALLY frustrating when I go through and analyze the opposition, identify what I think their offensive plan will be, my Defensive Coordinator lays out a game plan designed to stop what I'm expecting, they do EXACTLY what I predicted, and still walk all over us.

At this point, part of the problem is low morale. Our one win was in week 2. Six losses in a row has dropped individual players into a pretty bad funk.

Another "problem" is that we signed who we could get, and I have promised them to keep them, help them develop, and BUILD a winning team instead of buying one. Keeping the promise about how I treat them is easy. Sometimes keeping a positive attitude about our ability to become a winning team is far from easy. Emotions are like that.

I know what you mean. Look at the bright side, you don't have to play us again!

It is annoying and we are having a tough time as well, despite the amount of game planning and scouting we do as a team. We're building for the future as well so hopefully in a season or two we'll be up their competing for playoffs and titles
