Wow I had been thinking these last few days that we had beaten Tonga in the playoffs. How obsessed am I?

Well, that one beating was adequate for two beatings, so in a way you are right.

It was a beating of epic proportions that I can tell you'll be feeling for several seasons.

What do you consider a dynasty?
I'd say they're close: S2 champ, S3 ?, S4 champ, S5 champ. If they make it back to the championship game or repeat in season 6 then they'd be a definite dynasty.
The Nites are a dynasty: S2 champ, S3 champ, S4 champ, S5 lost in championship game.
Well yeah, you have to define what a dynasty is, how many years + championships. Personally, making the championship game doesn't make a dynasty, winning it does.
The Bills made 4 in the 90's and lost 4 in a row...if they're considered a dynasty, it isn't what they'd like it to mean
I'd say, without scouring GLB, the Benitos with 4 PRO championships are the bar in terms of a dynasty. And I'm not a huge fan of S.A. as a region -- not my style -- but the Benitos are very, very good and very well run, and have the hardware at the top level of their region to show for it.
Nites with 1 AAA + 2 PRO trophies are close. Yetis have the same thing.
Mean Machine with 1 AA + 1 AAA + 1 PRO are a step back, in my opinion, of the Nites.
And I'm sure there are other teams out there with lots of championships -- if there is a better bar to try and surpass than the Benitos right now, not sure what it is.
I agree with this almost in its entirety. It's also worth noting how the Machine and Nites had breaks in their runs... Machine have really only won two consecutive championships, one at Pro level, and the Nites just had their streak of three championships ended. The Machine would have to win back-to-back Pro championships to get into the dynasty conversation, in my opinion. Meanwhile, the 'Nites could get back into it by winning a third Pro title in four years.
Benitos' streak of four consecutive championships at Pro level is by far the most impressive. Detracting from that is the perceived strength of SA Pro. Yetis are still on a streak of three consecutive championships, two at Pro level, so they're the only other team (that I know of) that is still truly in the dynasty conversation.
You have to be careful how much stock you put into cross-league scrimmages, because you can't always tell who is testing tactics and who is seriously gameplanning for the win. But when it's a big-ticket tournament for forum bragging rights, the best teams take it seriously. Benitos and Yetis met in the title game of just such a tournament this past season, and the Yetis won.
Mean Machine were ranked ahead of the Yetis in SI's final world team rankings based on the fact that the Yetis scrimmaged West Scranton and lost. Mean Machine beat West Scranton twice en route to the title. But with the playoffs just about to start, how seriously did either the Yetis or West Scranton take that scrimmage? I wasn't involved in gameplanning for either team, so I have no idea. But it's definitely questionable whether that one scrimmage should determine the #1 and #2 teams.
Finally... it's worth noting HOW the Yetis won their second Pro title. Two very talented and successful teams attempted gimmick offensive gameplans in the hopes of finding an edge. Both gameplans backfired spectacularly. But what does that say about the Yetis that these two teams felt they had to try something like that?
This is why I'd like to see the Machine take on the Yetis. I don't think there's an argument against annointing the winner of that game as the undisputed champ of all of GLB for season 5.

This should be stretched over a number of seasons with not necessarily the same personnel. That, to me speaks volumes for the adaptability and foundation of a great franchise and only then would I consider a team a dynasty. So I disagree that the Mean Machine is a Dynasty, that should not be seen as a knock against the Machine, GLB is too young for any of these teams to be considered a Dynasty.
Now day may be nasty , but day ain’t no Dynasty.
I agree 100 percent

I've been impressed with MM and how they run their team. I'd say another title and you can call it a dynasty.
