I don't know if this is directed at me or not but I for one, nor anyone from my team, had anything bad to say about the Cans/Nites merge. We respected both of the teams, owners, and players before and after the merge. Yes it may have helped in our decision but we never had one bad word to say about what you did last season.

I don't know how one decides what is "legit"or not...but neither the Titans nor IC could continue to be competitive the way the league has gone. Legit in your mind or not, I have absolutely no regrets doing what we have done.


Not directed at you in particular. I respect you and you know that. The legit part was not aimed at your team. I for one know the problems you were having as the CANS had the same problem.
The legit part came from some people making it look like it was a planned merge by us, when that was far from the case. There are a few teams folding, and a lot of players going to teams here, but not one word was said was my point....that is all.

We got unfairly judged and people stated their opinions when we did it, now it seems to be ok.

I for one have no problem with it. If a team cant stay afloat, I have no problem that their players stick together and join the same team...more competitiion for the league. Im looking forward to playing your new team.

I need to shed a little light on my teams problem. At the time I decided to go belly up there was already a post the day before about the Pioneers going CPU. I was losing key positions that I thought I had verbal commitments with agents coming to my team. Then at the last minute 2 of them had resigned with their team. I already had tons of problems recruiting. Not too many people want to be backups for a middle of the pack team. Ever since season 3 I haven't signed 1 free agent. And recruiting for me has become a chore. I had my brother trying to get players to come to the Tide as well instead of his own team.

I want to tell you guys that I really enjoy this league. And that I am sorry I had to gut like that. It was my last resort. I hope Bort lets another deserving team move up.

A response to ECT, Pioneers, and other teams... I'm not sure how many people will like my idea.... But I think it's cool.

Well so much for the idea, so Ass mod locked the thread. I mean what the hell, I knew a few players weren't going to like the idea, but just because they don't like the suggestion they decide to lock the thread????

I'm really beginning to hate this place. They won't be getting another dime from me. I will play out my remaining flex points, which I unfortunately just boosted up, and then I'm gone. I'm tired of mods playing God around here.

anything in the never going to happen list gets locked before too much flaming.

Drafts in any form appear to be on there.

Well I agree that the pro leagues need to have more appeal and this draft suggestion wasn't bad, but if it's on the never going to happen list don't bother because no one will listen even if you state at the beginning of the thread to just hear me out.

They actually just unlocked the thread saying that it was a good idea and that they only locked it because of all the trollers out there that needlessly just down every suggestion. More notably probably the draft suggestions. They have to do something to help out team owners that are having difficulty in recruiting players.

Bort isn't completely against a draft of some sort. I remember a few weeks ago he posted in a draft suggestion topic that he thought was a good idea. I can't find the link since forum search has been down for months, but I believe it involved enhanced CPU players that had a lifespan of a few seasons. It allowed teams to fill a few roster spots and ease the burden of recruiting, but the players would retire after 2 or 3 seasons automatically.

If I had to go through the ass-whip that is recruiting this season on a larger scale, I probably would have folded IC as well to be honest.
Damn recruiting sucks, even when you DO the work ahead of time.

I don't recall having said anything about the Nites/Cans merger either (unless perhaps in jest which is my nature)... I think killertoad and I both think a lot alike in some respects and the respect thing is among them.

Yeah I saw too. I think a draft of some sort would be able to work. Also the other suggestion you had about the Pro leagues needing to have more appeal(I already think they do, but some people just like to go pad stats in A leagues) should happen.

The second suggestion seems to be a more accepted one. Gotten some positives about it, but I really would like to see a draft of sorts. There are some dick owners out there and I can understand why players wouldn't want to be placed on their teams... the 1 main complaint I would have with inactive/uncaring owners is that they allow grantable access to GMs for the equipment fund. Especially with equipment costs rising. The only reason I am in favor of a draft is that I hate to see good quality teams folding just because they can't seem to find 1 or 2 players for a key position.
