so you have spent 18 more than I have and I only trained speed to 30.I have 91 str with custom, and 63 natural blocking. that's a center playing right guard though What's your str, and blocking. I'm curious because if you are moving that fast with 48 speed, then maybe you are right. he definitely looks good.

71 natural strength, 67 natural blocking, with equip. in strength. I took those to 60 (strength first, then blocking) before investing in anything else. Vision is embarrasingly low, and speed could have waited, as you pointed out there is a .25 bonus per level to vision and no benefit/level to speed.

If I were to redo it, I'd probably get vision up before speed, and work speed up with SAs. Instead as it panned out, I'll be doing vision and SAs. I have no idea how high vision should go as a RG, by the way. They are all important attributes, and I think you're right: It'd be great, but not feasible, to have every tertiary stat at 48.

Maybe it comes down to deciding on a 1 point investment in SAs or a 1 point investment in speed, since SAs also don't grow with levels. Or to put it another way: Is raising an SA from 2 to 3 (2 point cost) more important than raising speed by 2?...or SA from 4 to 5 worth 3 points in speed? Those 18 points could have been used to get the first SA from 0 to 7.

Here's even another way to look at it: it takes 18 points to raise the first SA from 6-10. 4 points each for 7 & 8 and 5 points each for 9 & 10. Is that 18 point increase in speed worth the bump from 6-10 in the first SA? Maybe it is to some.

I personally like the speed as it seems to get him in position, or maybe gives him in an opportunity that he otherwise would not have. Like people say about a LB with little speed and agility your 60 strength and tackling isn't doing a lot of good if you can't get there to show off your strength. It's obviously to a lesser degree for a lineman, but maybe those 18 points does put a lineman in a position or gives him an opportunity he would otherwise not have.

sounds good. maybe a little foundation or something to help you pass block? what's your thoughts on that?

I'm thinking Strong Arm, Shock Block and Foundation on the pass blocking tree, and Get Low and Cut Block on the run tree. Maybe Pancake would work, especially against LBs and SS?

I've not been too impressed with what I've read about the SAs, though. I sometimes think people invest heavily into them and simply accept that they are working as intended, or that their player is good because of them. But at some point putting points into stats isn't feasible so SAs are the only option.
