Yeah I would say it has near the same oomph since the loser didn't actually quit the game when they lost. Publicity stunt with no follow through =/= epic.

Agreed, if it was a bet like Spit against YOMs team in a (championship) game then that would be interesting, and its a A league. No comparison to Ace-Kai bet at all.
