I had some really bitter back and forths last season in AAA with my team.

Like you it was getting so draining with all tyat extra drama on top of the pressure of trying to win at this. Takes alot of time and it was getting to the point that I was getting burnt out and entertained the idea of selling my team and stepping down as GM in Phuket. So I know the feeling.

As far as the games themselves. You've hit the stretch that we all will have to face.

So being 1-3 isnt as bad as it seems, you've faced the class of the conference. Wait until the rest of us have to start playing those top teams too and it wont seem as bad as it may now.

Flounder, we started 1-3 our first year and then ripped of like eleven wins in a row. It just so happened that we played the top 3 teams in the first 4 games. You've played two of the top teams in the division early on. I can't speak on your other loss, but you didn't get blown out by either of the top teams and the other loss was in overtime if I am not mistaken. I would be shocked if you dropped more than 2 more games the rest of the year.

And to come on here and get ridiculed all the time ,by people that don't even know me ,kind of gives me negative ,draining energy in real life.So I'm thinking heavily about it. I joined this GLB to have fun and channel excess time into something I've always been involved in one way or another. It's developed into a part/full time job where people channel hatred towards each other. I had a good conversation with Club America this week. Within this conversation I realized he is a pretty nice guy trying to get along in life like everyone else. Now why would I want to cause this guy harm or bad feelings? If I ever hit the lottery I would have no problem helping this kind of person better themselves.Mavoo me and you had differences last year but your all right with me. Your actually a pretty smart gentleman. I just think I need to take a step back and put my passion elsewhere.

It does get frustrating - I was where you are after the first season. Still, this season and last I've just focused on putting a solid gameplan together and letting the chips fall where they may. I wouldn't beat yourself up for losses, just like I don't get too excited if we win a big game. There are a ton of turnovers and broken coverages in this game right now and that makes for a lot of variability.

I think Winona, Lost City, Macau, Mekong and Phuket could play 5 round robin tournaments and it wouldn't surprise me to see 5 different winners. I kind of enjoy that aspect of it as it makes me think gameplanning does have an impact. But, it also means Winona or Lost City could run the table and lose in the 2nd round. Just enjoy the community and each game and let the chips fall where they may for promotion. Once I did that about midway through season 2, I started enjoying the game a lot more.

I started enjoying it more when I just stepped away a bit.

I mean I was scouting and putting up this big ass tactics thread w/stats, key matchups and stuff like that.

I was also keeping a stat thread and updating it every week after the games were played. A how we rank type of thread that listed all major stats and the ranking.

It was becoming more of a chore/hassle then the labor of love it used to be. And I almost walked away for it.

Now i still watch film and game plan, but no more bells and whistles. I just post what I think we need to do and the player tactics we should run.

I spend less time updating crap and more time doing the stuff I like, watching game film and porn.

lol. a bad run and is just that.... a bad run. you have a pretty good team. you need to sit back and enjoy it a little. I hate loosing and have been on a team that I committed to help build. It has been a great ride coming from one of the worse to a real threat to beat teams that we shouldn't. WoooSaaaa!!!! works great try it and stay around. Hell, we finished 8 and 8 after being something like 1 and 6. That was a great ride. Hell at least your not an ass like mad cow.

I've been spending a lot of time trying to help people not die of starvation and dehydration and stuff. Plus I didn't have power for a week. I'm not into this game much right now, so maybe that's why I haven't noticed if it is starting to become the suck or whatever you guys think it is.

Take it for what it is - a game. Sure , everyone wants to win, but not everyone can.
When stuff that is supposed to be fun becomes a burden then it really is time to step back and give it a rest. Then when you come back and start playing again it may be just the fun little distraction it used to be before you got all absorbed into it.

Hugs and kisses,

by the way, Stucknut sucks again. Good game, Winona. I don't know how Spuds threw the picks as I haven't looked at the play-by-play, but trust and believe that I will f*stf*ck his butth*le shut if it happens again.

We tried that punishment with Rick Blaine when he threw picks, but....well, you can probably guess how well it worked.

Oh, and good luck with the real life stuff.
