Promotion and Relegation is not readily prevalent in american sports in real life, i think this is the reason for the few promotion slots. However GLB is setup more like the non league english soccer system and as such 1 up 1 down is quite frankly stupid as you end up with laos not being relegated last year just because some other team was gutted first! 3 up 3 down is the way forward to establish some parity and competition IMO.

they should've sent however made it to the 2nd round of playoffs last season goes up, then this season whoever makes it to 3rd round of playoffs, then continue on as normal season 6. By then they should have a solution or a semi fix. that would move 6 teams up in two seasons so 12 would go down (gutted teams in pros would go to AA which makes sense), which looks about right for the majority of the leagues.

The thing is i voted for no, more promotion and regulation, but if it was rearranged i would say keep it in the same region, but no option for that.

I think they should just take the old NHL divisions, or maybe, given the new focus on the RPG elements, name them after D&D characters and large breasted women.
