Or make balance have a bigger impact on breaking tackles. A power back who breaks high number of tackles should need a very high balance to stay on his feet. I am not even sure if balance is used in the tackle breaking equation right now.

Before we go nerf/buff things, let's make the HB spend more SPs on other skills.

Right now stopping power backs is a huge pain in the ass even for some very experienced GLB players.

Tackling skills caps are too low compared to what is needed to stop a power back, not to mention that a defender can't afford to spend all his SP in tackling otherwise he will be useless and might not be fast/smart enough to reach the said power back in the first place, and defenders also need to be able defend agaisnt the pass.

A small nerf to high Power Running would be more than welcome and is bound to happen, that or lowering tackling skills cost and/or enhancing their caps, or even both if the nerfs/buffs are small ones, which are the best nerfs and buffs because it permits to manipulate the balance more precisely.


The talk about natural caps on tackling skills is fair.

I spent the offseason designing pretty much an entire defense and it was really, really tough to get tackling caps high, and you had to divert a lot of attribute points to even get them reasonable (not high).

Then on the flip side, a lot of my pure run defender builds have a ton of SP left over and no more cap room in run defense related skills left, so they have some pass defense capability by default.

I would support +10 to base tackling tech caps across the board. Maybe even boosting the rest more.

-1% cost of all 4 tackling skills
+3 cap of all 4 tackling skills
-2% "effectiveness" of high Power Running (basically the scaling adjustment thing a lot of people asked for)

Would make things much better, making running somewhat stoppable without having to build your whole defense specifically to counter running.

this is actually a great idea. the 2% is small enough it wont make a major jump change but make enough change that its possible to function fully.

the game is more about who can make the other team morale spiral first. Team with good PBs do that quick. so unless you have a great PB you can't play in Vet. Just silly everyone has to have the same team build to have any success.

Can we get a summary of where the hell we are now? Nerf, unnerfed, intimidation,morale, conditioning.... I was doing well keeping up.. but now I don't know. What should we do to move forward? Thanks for any input...
