The main advantage customers of the service have is seeing the opponents gameplans very quick and not seeing the overall most used or most effective plays. At least thats my opinion.

It's not that I am not willing to release data like that, but I usually do that in the case where there is an argument of over powered or faulty plays. If I were to release a list of all the play effectiveness, in one hand would be useless in truth because frankly to really see if a play is effective you need scope. Without scope there are far too many variances that skew results. Maybe this is something I can release at the end of each season, that way it doesn't benefit anyone specifically but is some analytic results to the meta of the game and state of sim/builds etc...

Yes, the latter is more what I was thinking.

I would agree that the main value of your tool is in scouting and game planning against specific opponents, which a macro survey will not assist with.

That was my thought.

Perhaps prepare an end of season meta data report so that players & Bort-Corndog could see what the past season was like.

It might make adjustments easier to make if the global data was known.

I can do this relatively easy after built the first time. Its just a DB query

If you do run this, I'd be interested to see it use your power ranker and group based on quartiles. Maybe even just try and get a more accurate depiction by removing the bottom 25% of teams (again using your power ranking).

NEW UPDATE TO VIRTUAL PLAYER BUILDER

Added new functionality to import a GLB2 player in it's current state. There are some major additions I had to add to make this happen. There is an option for you to link your GLB2 account with GLB2Scout so you don't have to login every time to import, or if you don't want to store you have to login each time. This will allow you to load a current build in its exact current state and spec out the build. This also works for any build that your username has access to in GLB2, ie a coach or friends view.

Enjoy and I have been building this for a bit so if there are any bugs please let me know and I will address them.

Perdition awaits at the end of a road constructed entirely from good intentions, the devil emerges from the details and hell abides in the small print...

This is actually the first step in getting the playbook importer/exporter into place

Stobie I dont know much about coding but I thought I might spitball this idea out there. say I make a player in the player builder, and assign SP. Would it be possible for the DB to search for a combination of traits/attribute point distribution that would make the build more "pareto efficient", ie achieve at least the same skill levels with more SP left over? Or would that require too much work?

Some minor updates.

Play Analyzer : I have updated to where if you hit the 'enter' button it no longer resets the form and rather in turn submits the request so if you are updating the plays you can just hit enter to refresh the results.

Power Ranker : I have added a limiter to only display results where I have done the batch parsing, this will eliminate the rogue games that get scouted through out the day during game days, and it will display how current the results are in the Forum friendly version and site version by last day scouted.

I am making more tweaks to small things to improve the site, currently the roster builder has my attention as I really don't like many things I did there and I want to rework how some of it works.

Part of player building is self discovery of what works, and with that how you build matters, but I am sure I could find a way to do this (albeit after tons of hours of effort imo), but would be beyond my effort to put into it, for the return. I have provided the users the crib sheets with this tool, but I still believe you have to read them I wouldn't want to just give away the answers.

Skill point spending and caps are all inner dependent on a formula of height/weight/attributes/traits and are all independently calculated with formulations per skill.

lol... basically saying all things effect your skills, including hidden items within the skill itself.
