Yeah, and that is a problem.

There should be a place in this game for Agility specializing RBs, but there isn't.

Whenever you hear about an Agility back, you hear shortly after about them switching their EQ back to Speed.

Pure Elusive (Strengthless) aka Reggie Bush, Eric Metcalf
Atts = 125 Speed, 80 Agility, 68 Carrying, 68 Vision, 48 Stamina, 48 Confidence, 48 Strength
VA's = Quick Feet, Clever Instincts, Slippery, Clutch
SA's = Quick Cut 3, Head Fake 9 Juke 9, Slippery 9
AEQ = 40% Fake

There is no way you can bump Strength to 70 on that type of build.

Less Speed more Agility imo

How can you say less speed? When a guy like Metcalf was rumored to run 4.2 seconds. Same could be said with Jamaal Charles and Chris Johnson. Those dudes have elite speed. Just as fast as WR's.

Ok but they have much more agility than that. They were about as quick as fast.

Dude you only have so many SP to spend. I don't know I am just throwing some numbers out there. Bort needs to test several Archetypes. That is one of the biggest issues with the game. Only one type of build (or only a few) seem to even work.

More agility, less speed imo.

Still not enough. Quick Cut should be a gigantic staple of the build. Originally posted by Phil Jackson
Why does an elusive need strength? I don't care about reasonable numbers what the hell is it going to do for the build?

Hold onto the football because you WILL get hit by D-linemen and LBs every once in a blue moon?

You lie!

Seriously, though, CBs make an inordinate number of tackles given their generally low tackling attribute. Since my guess was wrong, maybe it has something to do with the HB moving horizontally or not having much speed at that point, since momentum is a known factor. Whatever the cause, it's way easier for a CB to tackle a HB on the corner than it is for a LB with 25 more tackling to bring him down off tackle.

no you are wrong....there is more in the tackling roll than just tackling....you should know this.

Exactly.

Now they'll argue that that's a combo build.

As long as you take a massive energy and morale hit every time you get Big Hit by a triple digit strength D-linemen, then I guess I"m ok, though, with 48 Strength.

Strength: Will help you break tackles and hold his ground when blocking...

That is what carry is for, and carry actually plays into the fake roll.

Get Cover up not strength.

Carrying is for knowing where to shift the ball, which arm to hold onto it with, when to double wrap it.

Strength is for all of that to matter at all.

Elusives should be able to do this:

It actually looks like the mentor bugged players.

You said holding on to the ball, which is what I was taught that Carrying is for - fumble protection.

Are we adding Strength just to add it?
