ill take my chances with the flu from now on
I have never had one and have no intention of ever getting one. I get the flu once every four or five years and I'm very careful about washing my hands and protecting myself and others. Flu goes around the office, but it usually misses me.
If it doesn't, I can either take a sick day, work from home, or have someone cover my files for a day.

Yepp, what seth said. Just means it's working, imo

If it only lasts for a day, it's probably not the flu.

Two days tops. I can suck it up for the rest, but the worst of it that actually prevents you from going to work never lasts more than a couple of days for me.
Originally posted by rams78110 So.. I know the flu shot is an inactivated virus and no one can get sick from it... but why do people feel shitty so often after getting one? I work with sick people all day and I still don't want one because I know I've felt like shit the last 5 times I've gotten one
iirc it has something to do with the other ingredients they use in the vaccine. Tetanus vaccine used to contain (or still does) horse serum which a few people are allergic to.
