Sometimes it takes whoever is doing payroll a couple of weeks to figure it out. You're probably up shit creek next time you're up for a raise or promotion.

Yeah, that's a head-scratcher--perhaps they're the exception that proves the rule.

But that's not even remotely how that idiom works.

It's a good thing I love my job because it pretty much feels like the only thing I do. I feel like my workload has tripled in the past few months. (I did get raises and promotions, though.)

What's the stickiest tape out there? It won't need to withstand elements, or handle mechanical stress or any of that sort of thing. I just want it to STICK for as long as possible. Any suggestions?

Every time I see the U2 commercial where they are trying to profit off the last Ramones member dying through a "tribute" that shows the Ramones with a song that symbolizes them in no way at all and that they'd hate, I have to change the channel to prevent myself from throwing my remote through the tv screen.

I don't need it to hold something--I need it to COVER something. I have TWO new pairs of boots that both have the same problem--the strip of leather down each side on the INSIDE of the boot has a ridge that cuts into my flesh when I walk. I found that putting even a piece of scotch tape over the leather ridge is enough to tame the ridge--my flesh is saved from the friction. But scotch tape lasts only a single day, if that.
