I am the oldest, or at least one of the oldest active Gold owners without a championship under my belt and will do what ever it takes to get one, and will not justify my means to anyone, end of story!
Where I do agree with DirtyMike & jkid2 is that the HB/FB & screens passes are a fair amount more powerful than TE & WR pass plays, so the SIM does need to be better balanced. However, I would not call those plays exploits, just unbalanced. Until things are better balanced, I will use them as I see fit and teams will simply need to adjust their defense. I expect the same to be done to me.
I also think the new XP system will all but prevent anyone from owning 2 gold teams, so my days with 2 gold teams is numbered. Anyone remember the Gold team named GLB Headhunters? Well that was owned by naimoli, who left GLB a while ago, but returned this season. Since so much had changed since he left, I offered to help him get up to speed with all the changes by adding him on as a full access GM on TIA this season so he could see the changes in action and ask questions, basically to shake off the rust. He also agreed to take over TIA for me since I can't afford 2 full Gold teams, but he said he wasn't ready to run his own team yet, so next season, he will just help me run TIA and will make most of the players himself. S25 is when he is scheduled to take over ownership of TIA and he will probably rename the team back to his original team name and I'll stay on to help if needed. So I will still own 2 Gold teams for one more season, but no longer.
And lastly, like Jay suggested, I did NOT have the same game plan all season. I didn't do much in the way of actual game planning this regular season, maybe some for the tougher games, but I did do a lot of general tweaks and experimentation through out the season. However, I did step the game planning up a notch for the playoffs as any good owner/coach should do...
