But we already know the outcomes...which is a dead forum because the majority of CPL doesn't care. Just like all of the srs CPL private forums are dead, aside from a GG thread once or twice a season.

to be fair, a lot of the reason that CPL private forums are doomed to fail are threefold. The people who make them are the same type of people you don't want to be a moderator, they're power hungry, they're controlling, and they take the internet seriously. The second part is that after the novelty of the first season or so wears off, they stop recruiting new members- which means their current member base stagnates, and starts to die off.

The third part is that if any serious dot discussion began taking place, they'd get banned for collusion.

But your "structural solutions" wouldn't solve anything.,

If the GG forum is active (which I doubt it will be), it would just cause more tension between the two groups, while they would still get trolled.

If the GG forum is dead from only 4-5 people being interested, 3 of which are on the same team...then they still don't enjoy the league forum.

the GG crowd will have to be satisfied with what's in the realm of the possible. if the 4-5 people scenario is all that's possible, then that's all they'd get if the CPL was dismantled anyway, right?

and i fail to see how an inactive GG forum would cause tension... and the point is that they wouldn't get trolled since there's no point, right?

the idea here isn't to give everyone their pretty pony and their castle in the sky... it's to come up with a structural solution to preclude any complaints. the existence of a CPL-free GG forum means that no one can ever complain about the CPL ever again... sounds win-win to me.

Also, this entire thing is weird to me, because aside from the obvious people (onepeat, SI, Ubass, Kostitsyn) I'm probably one of the most targeted people in CPL. Not by CPL itself, but rather by any and every idiot that thinks he's got the testicles to start something in CPL. There have probably been 15 "mothers basement" comments made about me by 15 different people, probably another 13 avatar insults, probably another 4 or 5 name insults; insults attacking their perception of my real life, etcetera, etcetera. I've reported none of them, and I can only assume that the total summation of their bans totals less than the ban I'm currently pseudo serving.

I literally don't comprehend why people would rather run to the moderators at the first sign of an insult, because a temp forum ban is about as life changing as swatting a fly (well, not for the fly, ldo)
