Osmo, the NFL and the network own the content. They have agreed to license that content for distribution over the air. Acquiring that content through a source they have not licensed is illegal.

Technically. But I can get the same content for free with an antenna. Seems preposterous to claim it is stealing to watch it for free on stream when it's the same broadcast with the same commercials that I can watch for free with an antenna.

Not a monster, just incredibly stupid. Beyond the fact that you didn't even mention using an antenna until you were asked about that repeatedly, you still haven't realized that it would be easier, get you a better signal, not be illegal, and allow you to watch all over the air broadcasts whenever you want.

Yes. I save money and watch the same games as you and I am the stupid one.

I refuse to pay cable TV monopolies for their shitty service filled with ads and reality TV. I may look into an antenna but as it stands now I stream those broadcasts and feel no guilty what so ever. They bleed consumers dry for decades and now we have better options. If they don't adapt to the new technology it is their loss.

Repeat it all you want. I don't care. It's still absurd. It is broadcast for free over the airwaves. As a local resident I am entitled to access it. It shouldn't matter if I choose to use a pc instead.

I don't know why I expect someone with multiple DUIs to comprehend morality.

Ya? I admitted I use illegal stream services. I don't care. The morality police here are hilarious. I bet you Al never go over a posted speed limit and have never use a torrent site or never used Napster when you were a kid. God forbid anyone here has smoked marijuana.

In law, the providing of goods and services is usually what is regulated, not the acquisition.

In other words, obtaining something from someone else for free is typically not unlawful. But giving something to someone else which is not yours to give is statutorily illegal.

Here's some proof/fodder:

These statements govern an entity providing, not consuming, the content.

Private use and mere possession of content (especially content that is free over the air) is not regulated, and such a prosecution would not hold any weight in court, which is why no one is being fined for "illegal downloading" (does not exist... there is only illegal uploading).

Furthermore, downloading any content on the web from someone else is not illegal. Uploading content copyrighted by someone else is.

Anyways I'm done. Not worth arguing with the morality police. I am sure none of you ever have use YouTube where 90% of the content has some sort of copyright infringement taking place.

In conclusion... I stream 1 nfl game a week and don't give a Fuck what you think.

I think videos that have copyright infringement are removed from youtube, no?

I mean obviously they cannot completely keep them off.

Good post. So it's not illegal to consume a game via online streaming that is broadcast locally for free over the airwaves but it is illegal to rebroadcast it.

They only catch a percentage of them and it takes time before it's removed. If u post something it will take awhile for it to be taken down.

This also doesn't consider the stuff with illegal use of a song or something such as on gaming videos.
