He's still a starting caliber back. Last season with nagging injuries and the worst ol I have seen in Baltimore was doomed.

Because Harbaugh slobbered all over Rice when the 2 game suspension was first announced, said it "isn't a big deal", and made Rice out to be Mother Theresa in shoulder pads who just unfortunately had the urge to knock his fiancée the fuck out. It was a pathetic performance back then.

Well in fairness, Rice's fiance and now wife told the team a very different story than what happened and Ray had never been in trouble before.

I mean, wasn't the video of him carrying her out of the elevator already available? Is the only difference that we now see the hit? Because I swear I saw the video of him dragging her out of the elevator forever ago.

I mean, what's the difference between seeing the hit and seeing the after effects of the hit? Conclusive proof that she wasn't just drunk and hit her head in the elevator?

I'm guessing that's exactly what caused the league to reverse field--Ray Rice probably gave some watered-down version of half-truth to the league office, and 2 games was the initial reaction. Once it became clear that the watered-down half truth was just that, they pounded him for both the act and the act of lying to the initial league inquiry.

I still find it rather had to believe that neither the Ravens nor the NFL office had seen the video that was released yesterday--TMZ is basically asserting that they got the footage because they *asked* for it, so are we supposed to believe that neither the Ravens nor the NFL went through the motions of asking for the footage?
