Not a chance. People are quick to forget and overall don't really care about negatives that occur outside the football game. The Ravens just had to make the cut for PR purposes. The Cowboys DT Josh Brent killed a teammate drunk driving and he'll probably be back later this or next season. Similar situation to Mike Vick. Did the fans give him some hate initially? Absolutely, but they quickly forgot/chose to not care.

Harbaugh and Goodell should take a shitload of grief for this.

it would be different if Rice showed real remorse, and fessed up to the crime. but he basically poo-poo'd the whole thing. he isnt even getting in trouble with the law, so their wont be a "he paid his debt to society" angle. he is done for good imo

Ray is cooked. The public didn't see video of Vick or Brent, plus Rice's performance had already declined to the point of near-uselessness. 2-3 years ago he would get another shot, but not now. There is absolutely no chance he is on a roster ever again.

Well now ESPN is reporting that the NFL is suspending him indefinitely. Not just the Ravens dumping him now. Changes things.

@Rice being cooked (har har), the climate of RBs being so replaceable hurts him but if you treat last season as an off year, he's still good enough for an NFL job.

No one cares about Rice except Nancy Grace.
