I've been in several. It really depends.

1) Tux Rental, Bride and Groom paid.
2) Tux Rental, Bride and Groom paid first $100.
3) Suits: Bride and Groom chose the suit + shirt + tie, I paid.
4) Suits: Bride and Groom chose the colours, provided the tie.
5) Other: Bride and Groom chose shorts and Hawaiian shirts with leis, I paid for the shorts.
6) Other: East Indian ceremony, I was provided with the appropriate traditional garb.

I've been a groomsman in one wedding. Basically every ones else opinion has been spot on. Bride and Groom chose the tux, groomsman rented them. My buddy got some sort of deal so they were fairly cheap. I think we put a deposit down, and had to have the rest paid a week before the wedding so that may be an option if you can't front whatever the price is.

Edit: Also it included everything, from the shirt to the shoes. Only thing we got to keep was the socks lol.

the one time i was a "Best Man" i ended up banging the maid of honor. whats funny is my former girlfriend and i had broken up a couple of months earlier, and she was a bridesmaid. so she got to see me put work in on the maid of honor and then seal the deal. it was AWESOME

This will be my first summer going to weddings single. I have six weddings this year between May and November.

1) Cousin's wedding. Dry. Only hot girl was in late teens and, while legal in Canada, I don't tag under 23 these days.
2) Law classmate's wedding. Brunch reception. Struck out with the bridesmaid.
3) Co-worker's wedding. One single girl at the wedding that was at least a seven. She left the party by 9:30. (However, there was a stagette at the golf resort that weekend, I put multiple runners on base batting .500).
4) Friend's wedding in Ontario first week of October. Sent regrets... too expensive, minimal prospect of short-term action with quality targets, no prospect of long-term action.
5) Co-worker's wedding second week of October. This is the big one. Both bride and groom have multiple hot single cousins and friends that will be in attendance. Small town wedding, so there will be drunken messes. Downside, I might have to listen to country music all night and probably two-step.
6) My sister's wedding in Napa. 30 people going, mostly family. One hot single lawyer from Calgary coming, otherwise I'm relying on the kindness of locals during the week I'm down there.

Ive been to 2 of them. Both I wasnt really dating, but was asked to go with someone. Didnt want to say no.

I haven't because I hate them. The Fantasy Sports Trade Association narrowly won a court ruling preventing the U.S. government from classifying fantasy sports as gambling and therefore being subject to all sorts of onerous regulations, but this daily crap could get that ruling reversed if the government decides to try again.
