Round 14 is finished.

Alpha:

Belfast took it much more relaxed than i thought, so their win wasn't THAT big

I thought we wouldn't stand a chance against IKK Fu, but it turned out very close.
Even though they opened beat, and was leading almost the whole game, we came back hard at the end, though just couldn't manage to tie the game.

Glasgow really didn't stand a chance against South Yorkshire, who crushed them mercilessly.

Lyon managed to keep up with Southriding during the first half, but a weak 3rd quarter, which included a fumble TD to Southriding, killed any hope for an upset.

Limerick had an easy win against Belgrade, making over twice as many yards in the game.

Somethings definetly up with Marseille, who started the season very good but now is getting crushed by team they should have beaten.
Marseille followed Cork during the first half, but when the 3rd quarter started, they had nothing more to give.
Which means Cork has a decent shot at stealing the playoff spot from Marseille.

Sweden beat Reykjavik as expected

Spaniard is ready for relegation as Belgian proved to strong, and by the time Spaniard woke up, it was allready to late.

Zeta:

I thought for sure London wouldn't make the same mistake twice. They did!
Only an heroic defensive effort in the late 4th quarter secured their victory this time. If they play like this next game also, their undefeated season might get lost.

Shamrocks struggled also, against a Kilkenny who played much better than before.
Shamrocks had the lead until their defense slipped, letting in a huge TD.
However they came back, and managed to hold off Kilkenny for the rest of the game.

Buffalo trampled Phoenix as expected.

Walthamstow never had a chance, in their final chance for a playoff spot.
Tranmere was just to good, and dominated the entire game.

Rome shutdown Koln completly taking a relaxed victory.

Drunken massacred Leeds as expected.

Vatican should have won easily against the fighting Irish, but instead couldn't get a secure lead at all.
As Fighting Irish followed them the entire game, scoring points whenever Vatican did.
What decided the game in the end, was a drop in the 3rd quarter on Fighting Irish 3rd down, when they tried scoring a TD. And instead they got a FG, which eventually meant they lost by 1 point. However this porbably was Fighting Irish best game this season.

Athen took the lead with a fG in the 1st quarter.
After that it was all about Nola, who easily won in the end.

1. Belfast
2. IKK Fu
3. South Yorkshire
4. Southriding
5. Limerick
6. Bow Street
7. Glasgow
8. Marseille
9. Lyon
10. Cork
11. Sweden
12. Reykjavik
13. Belgian
14. Belgrade
15. Spaniard
16. Port St Lucie

Zeta:

1. London
2. Shamrocks
3. Buffalo
4. Tranmere
5. Rome
6. Drunken
7. Kilkenny
8. Munich
9. Vatican
10. Nola
11. Walthamstow
12. Fighting Irish
13. Athen
14. Koln
15. Leeds
16. Phoenix

The only change is that Marseille dropped down to 8th, and if Cork defeat Vatican in the last game, Cork might actually take the playoff spot instead.

In Zeta Walthamstow is now out of the playoff fight, as even two wins won't be enough for them.
Vatican and Nola still stands a chance though.

Port St Lucie scored 7 points which is a little disappointing....came on a fumble return on special teams so it doesnt really count !! Tried to get our level 13 QB some plays....he got 21...but all handoffs in the rushing game...not quite what we planned!!

Looks like Cork will be coming up against us in the playoffs. Not really looking forward to that because they are looking dangerous. Their sack total is something unbelievable....thankfully we have one of the best Olines in the conference! Will be interesting to see what they against Ikk Fu.

Man, we could have had IKK this time. They were just slightly too good.

What's happened to the lucky Spaniards? I've been expecting to see them put a win or two together to avoid relegation all season but it hasn't happened and it looks near certain they're going down.

I'm actually kinda annoyed. We almost had IKK-FU...despite three lost fumbles. I wish I understood why we seem to fumble so much while our opponents fumble so rarely.

Shame we couldn't pull it off. I thought our D played well, and they did well enough that our offense got two shots at winning us the game, but the Mutineer D stepped up to the challenge.

Strange how the close ones are worse than the blow outs isn't it?

Oh well. Congrats Mutineers. If things go our way then we may well get a chance at turning this result around.

(BTW: just to show there's no hard fellings anymore beyond the rivalry: Congrats Wildcats. Huge win for you guys.)

great game tranmere

yeah we got whipped that game. oh well still quite happy with how this season has gone so far seeing as its our first. you guys watch out next season our bite will be as big as our bark. (ps. Tomhusker you can now put down what ever it is you're still holding we're not gonna make playoffs)

I think that you have surprised a few people this season, Tom will probably testify to that.

Our conference is very tight and outside of the big 4, (London, Buffalo, Dublin S and Rome) anyone can beat anyone on a given day.

Thanks, Good Game Dublin, your LBs are incredible. I have no idea why we didn't try for a FG at the end of the half.

QFT.

I'd even go so far as to discount Rome, Dublin and Buffalo from that somewhat. They've all had slipups. Althoguh perhaps that's all they were. I love our division. So many good teams, and so many nice guys.

I would be worried about Cork in the playoffs if I was a top seeded team. They have a beast of a DE and their HB is a workhorse.

I hope we get that 8th seed...it would be a fun game! We had 3 sacks when we played earlier this year, but both teams have grown a lot since then...plus the current code for pass rushing/pass blocking hadn't been implemented for our league yet, so the 3 sacks we had before don't mean or predict anything...
