Out of the many superstar studded run teams in the tier most of us are struggling pretty hard. I have a feeling this tier will look a lot different next season.

I would rather see them unnerf whatever they nerfed, then lose all the run teams on every current tier to resets. This coming from someone who doesnt run any all run offenses, just hate to see them extinct and think it would certainly make the game less interesting overall.

They don't have to unnerf. The outside coverage was a good change. What they need to do is let runners cut up field early when they can't make the outside edge

I think this is the change they need to make - right now the D is just parked there waiting for the QB/HB and hit them for a loss (or a tiny gain).

Likely looks like the running teams will have to tough it out this season - I'm glad they started addressing some of the issues defending vs outside running but they definitely needed to accompany it with a few fixes as well.

Then you are just gonna get a bunch of people posting in bugs about how their defender sits around like an idiot allowing the HB to cut in all the time.

Inside run + power back = Depression

The problem is, many people do not know how to effectively make a power back, which is quite surprising to me. Inside run plays go for modest gains in this game. I was actually just watching something and thinking if my HB was a (speedy) power back this would've gone for a larger gain. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/186557/848854?player_id=145046

To me the running game is still strong. Just less of a chance to pitch the ball and get a TD. I've seen a boatload of inside handoff TDs already this season, from balanced teams nevertheless. Anyways it probably just me. I enjoy the fun in making HBs now, wasn't a big fan of them being OP against most defenses (even solid ones). Its also interesting to try new things. I've never tried to make a triple threat HB, and so far his development is going great, at least on the ground (elusive, power, receiving back).

Strong is quite the exaggeration. But if people want to go with 3 man fronts or c3 buzz's against me i will take the gift.

all this discussion yet nobody has mentioned that a team with an all superstar OL and a pair of superstar RBs averaged less than 5 yards per carry on INSIDE RUNS against 3-2-6 edge 2 buzz.

Because nobody is surprised by this. You broke zero tackles on those plays and you eventually run into the MLB or one of the safeties. You were only held under 4 yards twice on plays where your QB didn't botch the snap.

the 3 man front and lone MLB clogging the middle gives you easy access to gain yards but only in doses. Unlike say ZEB vs. 4 WR dive/slam's where you surrender both safeties to WR's.

the fact that we have 5 OL and a TE taking on 3 DL and a LB and the 2 free OL didn't get downfield is the issue.

*checks entire Oline, sees zero sprinting investment, picks up a different magazine*

That and run block awareness.

Your TE takes the LOLB who is blitzing right at him. Regardless, even if all blocks are picked up, you still are going to meet a safety which you did constantly and aren't breaking that tackle.
