I may look into that. But what's the difference between that and using an illegal stream to watch the same channel and commercials then? What am I really stealing?

meh, no difference, really. just depends on your comfort level using 'illegal streams'

Have you explained to him yet how you STEAL the broadcast?

he makes a good point, though....if he is 'stealing' something that is simply broadcast over the open airwaves, such as network tv, then what is he really stealing?

I've described ad nauseam that there are multiple options for you to get what you want if you truly wanted to pay for these services and not pay for a cable package. You're just full of shit.

I'm not going to get into whether the Sports Broadcasting Act is right or not (in my opinion, it isn't), but its whole purpose is so that people like Osmo pay to go watch football games and directly support their team. If they don't, they don't get to watch football games.

So yes, by the very definition of what he's doing, he's still stealing. It's not "simply broadcast" if it's blacked out, because the franchise, college, whoever, has decided they didn't make enough money off of the game because they didn't sell it out.

Ie, another instance of Osmo being able to get what he wanted if he would've paid a perfectly reasonable amount of money for it.

Its not blacked out if i use an antenna to watch local broadcasts on network Tv though. I just dont want to use an antenna so what is the difference if i stream those same broadcast. I am watching what is aired for free over the airwaves.

So i am stealing what is already free over antennas locally. Stealing what is free....

Because streaming is not licensed and therefore illegal.

Not a monster, just incredibly stupid. Beyond the fact that you didn't even mention using an antenna until you were asked about that repeatedly, you still haven't realized that it would be easier, get you a better signal, not be illegal, and allow you to watch all over the air broadcasts whenever you want.
